    Some ppl are just born anglers, Chris is one of them. Probably the realest most versatile fisherman on all of youtube.

    I grew up in Canandaigua, and went to school in Ithaca. Man, I've never seen fish like these pulled out of those lakes! Thanks for the vids.

    Bluebirds are still fine for pike, but I would jigg near bottom with a curly tail gummy. They tend to sit in channels or on drop offs a bit away from the light.

    Them smallies are fun to catch. Not too many where I'm at either. But they are fun when they are big. Good call nice gamechange.

    Bass get those marks on their heads when they create the beds, the abrasion of the gravel on their head as they dig creates the "sores"- the one with the bad sore probably tried moving a large stone or ended up digging up against a large, immovable structure.
    Some bass I've seen that are feeding heavy on craw will get the "sore" on their chin as they are grabbing crawfish off the gravel and rubbing their chin into it as they hunt.

    With that type of rig you have to do a strong sweeping hookset just to bury the point...When the smallie takes its dive it will drive the point deep...

    What size Mojo is that? Do you like it? What reel are you using? Just bought a 9 foot Mojo for the stripers/albies/blues on the beach and threw a VR150 Van Staal on it. Can't wait to use it! Seems like a perfectly weighted combo.

    • @ChrisMcIntee
      @ChrisMcIntee  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      not sure, that was kurts rod, im guessing it was a mojo bass and prob rated up to 1/2oz or less. not sure what reel that was either... I have a mojo inshore 7' that Ive had since 2015 or so, great rod. Apparently some are defective and break easily but if you use that mojo surf a few times and it doesnt break right away then itll prob last you many seasons.. or at least until you fall and land on it on the jetties hah. all around tho mojos are good for the price, as long as they get through the first few uses. mojo ice rods however... cant handle any heat

      +Sea-Money Fishing Yea, I have heard the same thing. Also have the same issue with my Lamiglas Insane Surf rod, it either breaks within the first few fish, or it will last many years. Thanks for the tips and the vidz!

    • @ChrisMcIntee

      I just looked it up and all I see is catch and release artificial only.

    • @Sir_Defyable
      @Sir_Defyable 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not an official rule, but many anglers are against it, and you can see why. The fish aren't feeding, but striking in defense of their nests. It can be easy to disturb an entire spawn cycle if enough anglers show up hitting the beds hard. I personally don't fish beds but I don't believe it actually affects the spawn unless you keep, which IS illegal.
