So many awesome cameos! Dean Cain playing Jeremiah, who played Superman/ Clark Kent in that show The New Adventures of Superman, and their mother the same actress who played the original Supergirl in the Supergirl movie back from the 90s.
Awww.... I would have loved to see your reaction to Kara talking about her cousin working once with a vigilante who used gadgets, a mask and voice changer. It sure seems as though that is a "confirmation" of the existence of Batman on her earth!
Very few reactors I've watched have seemed to notice how Mon-El just offhandedly mentions that the bars of the cell are made of "Nth metal from Thanagar". That's the same Nth metal that Hawkgirl has on her mace, and Thanagar is the name of the planet of the Thanagarians (the winged alien species that was going to take over the world in the *Legends of Tomorrow* show). It *would* make sense, since the Thanagarians are an alien species, but what other similarities does the Supergirl universe have with the Legends universe?
Shotz of Lead Spoiler Alert no. the villains for the crossover are the alien race known as the Dominators. From DC's Invasion Storyline from the late 80s.
If you're allergic to milk, you don't break out just because you're next to a milk carton. If you drink it, it's another story. Likewise, Mon-El standing next to Guardian isn't a problem. If he tries to eat the suit (or more likely if he is cut by the suit), then he'd have problems. Hank Henshaw is Cyborg Superman in the comics. But I was kinda hoping they'd make Jeremiah Cyborg Superman. Powergirl seems more likely than Kon-El at this point...
The Batman reference was indeed during the bar scene at the start, while they were taking about the Guardian being a vigilante that uses gadgets. They never actually said the name Batman though.
They could easily bring in Nightwing by way of Starfire. And have that spinoff into its own show. You get the Batman tie in, without actually having to have Batman. And you get a character that fits the Supergirl tone pretty well too.
Yeah, I got the reference and knew that that meant Batman, when I actually watched the episode yesterday. It's just that they never said Batman, so it would be ready to miss the reference altogether since it's so quick.
What Kara said at the bar was, "My cousin worked with a vigilante once, tons of gadgets, lotsa demons ... I mean ... vigilantes are nutz". Gadgets and demons, working with Superman, it couldn't be anyone else but Batman. It was right after the talk about "sidekicks".
***** They cut it out of the video but if you watch the full episode it’s when kara says "My cousin worked with a vigilante once, he had tons of gadgets and lots of demons. I mean Vigilantes are nuts!"
It'd be cool to maybe see Barbara Gordon since they referenced batman exists in that world because in a lot of the cartoons Kara and Barbara have always been bffs and I think that would be cool to see for maybe a couple episodes while expanding the world supergirl takes place in.
Best fucking episode of the entire show. Jeremiah coming in clutch, Cyborg Superman being thrown into the mix, Alex finding out about Guardian and dealing with her personal struggle, Kara and Mon-El progression, epic lines from Lillian Luthor, and White Martian vs Green Martian. Absolutely no filler whatsoever!
Shenare agreed. The fact that Kara didn't even try to fight them once she got out of the cage is crazy. She can move faster than a bullet. She could have taken the gun with the lead bullets but then again, the episode would be over quickly and the chain of events in the 2nd half of the episode wouldn't have happened.
I don't trust, Jeremiah! I didn't when the show when he entered and still don't. I think he released them, because Cadmus has no longer use for them and is planning some public take down of Supergirl. Whether it be framing her or just taking her out in the public eye. I would love to see Katar-Hol and/or Shayera Hol show up to represent Thanagar. (Maybe bring in Adam Strange). Though I'd want Wonder Woman and the Bat Family in the Supergirl world for sure.
Supergirl is using Hank the same way that they use Harrison Wells on Flash. CW knows how to get the most out of their best actors by using them in Dual (hero/villian roles).
Omar Alm81 yeah like supergirl's first season started very low but it got vetter over time and then the red kryptonite came i was like i love this show and now season 2 is super good comapared to season 1. Arrow last season sucked and this season started slow introducing a lot of people in the that are growing on me and now they are doing the whole Artemis family story i cant wait. Flash honestly felt the same for me but i wish they couldve saved Godspeed for a later season and get a major villain that wasnt a speedster
alien dude Godspeed? You do know that the villain is Savitar, right? He specifically says that he is "the god of speed", *NOT* "the godspeed". If you're wondering why he said that, it's because Savitar's original title from the comics is "the god of motion". But "the god of motion" doesn't sound as cool, so they used "the god of speed" instead.
NantesdeAbreu bitch please, The flash basically got his ass whooped all season long so far. Cisco is the one who defeated all the villians, like shade, frost and even the rival
ssoooo is this the birth of fernus? I mean burning martians were turned into white and green martians so merging them back together it might be possible that he will awaken his genetic memories?
Loved dean cain i want him in a superman suit to help them take down cadmus and i hope hes not bad that Would be sad if he was changed and that was all to get to her
I'm not really buying the whole Guardian plot line. I know it happened in the comics but I feel like James being the Guardian wasn't originally intended because it wasn't like he slowly developed the idea he just suddenly wanted to be a hero even though he had never indicated that sentiment in previous episodes. Also, how does he know how to fight? He's instantly an expert fighter with absolutely no training and not even a single line of dialogue indicating why that is. At least Supergirl had to practice being a hero. Someone like Guardian makes more sense on Arrow but in Supergirl he just feels out of place.
In the comics, I THINK Sodam Yat was the son of, if not the king, someone higher up in government there (don't quote me on this) Is it possible the Prince (if it's not Mon-El which, I'll be honest, I think Melanie has a point here) is Sodam Yat? The bigger question: SINCE DAXAM IS A THING, WILL WE EVENTUALLY SEE A FRIGGIN' GREEN LANTERN???? *ahem* sorry. I'm a bit of a GL freak
In this episode, I did not understand the behavior of supergirl.😵😵😶Cadmus no longer has kryptonite and they sort of it cage in lead (it only affects the Daxamite) while threatening Mon El, so why not have used it super speed !!!!They were only three, two guys and one woman. WTF 😱😱😣
JIVOTH MasterMinds that's tv logic for u. I was wondering the same thing. She could have easily taken all of them and Lillian Luthor down with her super speed but then again, the episode would end after the 1st 30 min. I guess they needed to set up the plot to where Kara and Mon-El would both be scared and vulnerable so they can have their touching moment which leads to him realizing that he has feelings for her.
I have just 1 issue with this episode. The way they just name-dropped Cyborg Superman. I get it, its his comic name. Unfortunately, it makes no sense in the episode. I get the cyborg, but where does the Superman come in? It makes no sense FOR THE SHOW. The names usually make some kind of sense. A codename, hero name, something that flowed well into the show. This was just a name drop for the fans. Don't get me wrong, I like the name drop, I just don't like the way it was dropped. For an example of a proper way to name drop, watch this week's (and last week's) episode of The Flash. They dropped it last week, and explained it this week.
i dont mean they watch the episode b4 then fake reactions, i think Melanie overreacts (probably the better word) just to make the video better, which it doesn't
dude...im not gonna even bother, ur just saying corny stuff that doesn't make sense, why wud u just open ur mouth for no reason for nearly every single ending of a supergirl episode
Thankfully all the maggie/alex melodrama seems to be over... James still the worst casting ever and where the fuck his fighting skills come from, we saw fight before guardians and he was very far from what we saw here. Once again it comes out of nowhere. Another "Punisher" type of character, it's some kind of new fashion. xD Yeah Batman !! J'onn always MVP !^^

omg I'm so happy that u are using the super girl hoodie that I send you 😀😀😀
Andrea Alvarez She looks great in that hoodie, so nice of you 😀
Really, you sent that? Awesome! It's fits her so well.
Andrea Alvarez 😊
it is soooo comfy! thank you! AND OF COURSE I'D BE WEARING IT lol. it's perfect!
Btw this is melanie
Very few reactors I've watched have seemed to notice how Mon-El just offhandedly mentions that the bars of the cell are made of "Nth metal from Thanagar". no. the villains for the crossover are the alien race known as the Dominators. From DC's Invasion Storyline from the late 80s.
The Smoking Skull I noticed right away and was so happy they mentioned that :D
If you're allergic to milk, you don't break out just because you're next to a milk carton. If you drink it, it's another story. Likewise, Mon-El standing next to Guardian isn't a problem. If he tries to eat the suit (or more likely if he is cut by the suit), then he'd have problems.

David Harewood has such a great angry voice.
Melanie was SO happy during this episode. 😄
The Batman reference was indeed during the bar scene at the start, while they were taking about the Guardian being a vigilante that uses gadgets. They never actually said the name Batman though.
shadow_walkerOZ No just that her cousin worked with a vigilante once. and that he had tons of gadgets and lots of demons. Sums up Batman.

+shadow_walkerOZ it wouldn't really be a "reference " if they straight up said he worked with batman.

Supergirl's fighting in season 1 improved overtime. So overall i thought her fighting was good, but it improved more so in season 2 overall.
The last episode review by Melanie was the best!!!! :D
This episode had a lot of wow moments.
Did anyone else catch that Batman easter egg, he exists in the DCTV universe!
sumitra sundaram at least on Supergirls Earth
yup i did
***** they cut it out the video
A very LOW chance we get to see Batman on this show, but it would be pretty cool to characters like Batgirl or Batwoman.
***** They cut it out of the video but if you watch the full episode it’s when kara says "My cousin worked with a vigilante once, he had tons of gadgets and lots of demons. I mean Vigilantes are nuts!"

That would be so awsome.
Melanie was flat out drunk in the beginning. 😂
That's just her normal personality. She's high on life...
This ep was so amazing.
Great reaction guys.. this was a fun episode to watch
Does nobody remember that Jimmy said he was a 5th degree black belt? That was why he was so acrobatic.
BATMAN EASTER EGG!!!!!
My little Daxam Prince is trying so hard though!
But it felt like such a waste to have Supergirl defenseless like that and Not experiment on her. I mean, come on Cadmus...
Shenare agreed. The fact that Kara didn't even try to fight them once she got out of the cage is crazy. She can move faster than a bullet. Man blind wave is like watching the big bang theory.
Love that hoodie so cute
That Batman reference was awesome
Blindwive ft. Blindwave
Maggie Sawyer wasn't with Batgirl, she was with Batwoman (Kate Kane).
Techurious u
supergirl officially surpassed flash for my top out of the cw superhero shows
alien dude shoes, hahahahhaha. Shows*, but yeah it's getting better each episode.
Omar Alm81 yeah i edited lol i guess you didnt get to refresh the comments
ha, I did not even read it right. THE IRONY XD
Omar Alm81 yeah like supergirl's first season started very low but it got vetter over time and then the red kryptonite came i was like i love this show and now season 2 is super good comapared to season 1. What did you guys think of the Batman reference
What do u mean they would really do that with hank he is actually cyborg super man in the comics
She also said that he had a whole lot of demons
As well as gadgets
Hank Henshaw is the C Superman in the comics, so its not a shock
loved it can u make the reaction longer because i live in england thats all i see
I hope that they will do Powergirl!
yes when they took the blood we were all thinking galatea.
1 - Loved the Thanagar reference.
2 - Supergirl is always being beaten up this season. Enough of that.
NantesdeAbreu bitch please, The flash basically got his ass whooped all season long so far. Cisco is the one who defeated all the villians, like shade, frost and even the rival
I just feel the need to point out Maggie Sawyer has a relationship with Batwoman, not Batgirl. There's a world of difference.
ssoooo is this the birth of fernus? I mean burning martians were turned into white and green martians so merging them back together it might be possible that he will awaken his genetic memories?
Are you guys still doing Star Wars Rebels?
YALL NEED TO REACT TO CARS 3 DISNEY PIXAR!!!!
Loved dean cain i want him in a superman suit to help them take down cadmus and i hope hes not bad that Would be sad if he was changed and that was all to get to her
I thought cyborg superman was suppose to look like superman
12:41 OMG WTF STRALOL
15:54 WOOOOOOW!!!!
Did you catch Batman easter egg ?
43:10 - Bat-WOMAN, Aaron. Not Batgirl - that's completely different, just like Superman (Kal-El) and Superboy (Kon-El).
Y'all skipped yalls reaction to the batman reference!
That Batman reference though XD
I'm not really buying the whole Guardian plot line. Super Girls's blood could be used to create her clone. Power Girl?
In the comics, I THINK Sodam Yat was the son of, if not the king, someone higher up in government there (don't quote me on this)
Is it possible the Prince (if it's not Mon-El which, I'll be honest, I think Melanie has a point here) is Sodam Yat?

*ahem*
sorry. I'm a bit of a GL freak

Bizarro Supergirl coming soon lol. My theory from blood being taken. They just doing a Superman story with her😒
Felix Figueroa they already did bizarro supergirl last season
I have just 1 issue with this episode.
The way they just name-dropped Cyborg Superman.

Within a minute
no superboy no Young justice
⚡️
Melanie is such a faker, proof at the end - she doesn't even know what project medusa is
If your implying that Melanie is faking reactions then you clearly have the wrong end of the stick. BlindWave don't fake reactions.
i dont mean they watch the episode b4 then fake reactions, i think Melanie overreacts (probably the better word) just to make the video better, which it doesn't
That is actually just her personality, she is generally a bubbly and perky person.
dude...im not gonna even bother, ur just saying corny stuff that doesn't make sense, why wud u just open ur mouth for no reason for nearly every single ending of a supergirl episode
Makes perfect sense actually. Most fans of Blindwave know what Melanie is like and this is how she is.
Thankfully all the maggie/alex melodrama seems to be over...
James still the worst casting ever and where the fuck his fighting skills come from, we saw fight before guardians and he was very far from what we saw here. Once again it comes out of nowhere.
Another "Punisher" type of character, it's some kind of new fashion. xD
Yeah Batman !!
J'onn always MVP !^^
