Kerr came in and completely overhauled the offense with ball movement. Mark's offense was basically give the ball to Steph and run some pick and rolls or let him go one on one.

      Chris Harris, absolutely. Doc Rivers was Ben Simmons staunch supporter, aggressively defending him against internal criticism. Charles Barkely confirmed this by saying that he and others had told Doc many times to bench Ben when he was not performing well to help the team. Charles Barkely said the Doc rejected all all legit criticism of Ben Simmons. So I do not like how Shannon and Mark attempted to paint this picture like Doc Rivers was not ever supportive of Ben, when in fact; he was Ben's biggest and strongest supporter. This is why we all have to do our own research, not take what these people say as face value. Bottom line, Ben Simmons has under performed for the money they invested in him. The criticism is warranted. Does not matter what team Ben play for, if he under performs; he going to get the criticism. This is about Ben, not anyone else. The sooner he takes responsibility for his own actions; the better his career will be and entire life.

The only reason he's not coaching today is because he's too strong at times and his stubbornness on his beliefs were too much for a certain powerful member in the Warriors organization and the NBA. Once he got into it with Rick and became too prideful; it kept growing so they fired him and blackballed him completely. However, he still had great potential based on his early success and you can't find one player whom he coached that has said otherwise. Have no doubt in my mind, if none of that extra stuff had happened, he would have remained the coach of the Warriors.

      I played pt-gd , that is a BIG 'IF' You're talking about ! ... A pt-gd that can't shoot free-throws is like a lion with no teeth ... He can hunt & attack , but he CAN'T FINISH ! ... philly can wear teams out for 3qtrs , but most contending teams somehow make games close the last 2/3mins ... That's where a pt-gd is most vital to his team , bc he facilitates everything at that point ... The opponent 'knowing' this guy is a liability is a MAJOR PROBLEM for ben's team ! ... Until he makes up his mind to overcome this deficiency in his game , he'll ALWAYS be the 'Elephant' in the Room ? ! ... Running from philly will only 'mask' his insecurities for a while , until his next series ... All these ppl sugar-coating the real issue is not helping ben grow & mature as a player ... He should've had someone mentoring him after his 1st season ? ... Bc considering his contemptible attitude , he's content with who he is & doesn't plan on changing ANYTHING ! ...

  • @admxom
    @admxom 3 ปีที่แล้ว +21

    #1) Philly has always cheered Simmons on, whether it was a make or miss. From 3 or from the line. Fans were glad enough just to see him attempt shots and have courage. #2) If Doc is a first round or second round exit this year, and if his rotations and/or in-game adjustments don’t add up to an improvement; I’d fire him and take Mark Jackson in an instant. He seems to be more of a player’s coach, and will do what’s necessary in all facets to build up the team’s weaknesses.

    I had no idea Mark Jackson had so many fans until I saw the comments in this video. He done a good job for the Warriors but that was also because the FO drafted well. His offensive strategy was basically letting Curry try to go ISO every possesion, Draymond wasn't fully utilised, I think he even wanted to trade Klay for Kevin Love (not sure). Then there was the whole thing with making the team go to church to heal Curry's ankle 😂. He deserves his props for the development and the part he played but it was definitely time for him to leave and Kerr pushed that team into being a dynasty.

      Lol what?
      Giving Mark Jackson credit for the warriors is a reach, but I can kind od see how you get there.
      Giving Jason Kidd credit for the Bucks is a Mr. Fantastic-level stretch. Kidd had the Bucks floundering at or below for .500 every season. The team has gotten noticeably better under Bud and, though a beneficiary of relatively good health, the team was able to win it all due in part to Bud's coaching.
      Coaching quality may not always be decisive for team success, but to credit predecessors for their succesors' ability to lead the same/similar teams to heights that the predecessors didn't reach overlooks the value of coaching entirely.
      I have love for Mark and Kidd, to varying degrees, but Kerr and Bud should get some credit, too.
