I'm 100% sure that if enji knew who all for one is and that he could take quirks, he'd give him touyas quirk to keep touya safe I believe enji was a good father but the death of touya pushed him over the edge to be how he is and now he realized how bad he is and is trying to do better, also you can tell that shoto really wants to have a good relationship with his father but isn't going for it cause of the past but if enji shows shoto how much he changed, I'm sure in the future they'll get along great Enji should have also explained to touya about his quirk better and still find a way to train him without hurting himself or sum

He wasn’t a good father. He was abusive parent who neglected most of his children. He literally got Touya’s hopes up to become a hero but just for it to get destroyed completely. Endeavor literally created them for the purpose of surpassing all might. Which makes it worse because little Touya knew he only existed for that purpose but when endeavor told him he won’t train him anymore, it made Touya feel worthless and a failure. Then he proceeded to abandon Touya, which left Touya with a low self esteem and having a need to prove himself to endeavor.

Which made Touya feel replaced and made him question himself if there was something wrong with him. Then three years later after “Touya’s death,” he runs back to the house because he wanted to apologize to his family and because he thought Endeavor was worried about him. But you know what he found instead? He saw Endeavor training/abusing Shoto; which only meant one thing Touya’s death meant nothing to Endeavor as along as he had Shoto to accomplish his goal in surpassing All Might. If Endeavor had stopped pursuing his goal in defeating All Might, Touya would have never became Dabi.

That's why I'm super excited for the complete flashback of the todoroki family to be animated, for these people to stop inventing things and spreading lies to people who only watch the anime. I believe Endeavor was a relatively better father before Touya died, Touya had a strong desire to be a hero so he wouldnt want to be a villain and most importantly his relationship with this siblings. Everyone protrays it to be wholesome and all but I think Touya would be rather envious of Shoto and think highly of himself against Fuyumi and Natsuo, I also love how u made Rei's and Enji's relationship rather understanding and wholesome (idk if thats the correct word TuT)
the most accurate depiction of how they would act tbh, even down to little details in it or some bs toya says, its all so good and fits with the canon story aswell
Enji reminded me of ei from genshin impact, enji didn't let touya uses his quirk or become his successor not because enji thought that touya is not as useful as shoto or anything but it's because he tried to prevent touya from hurting himself by using his quirk. enji might thought that by doing that it'll protect touya but from touya's perspective it may seems like enji has abandoned touya because to touya it seems like enji didn't need him anymore because there's shoto just like how scara feels when ei did that to scara. Touya hated shoto because he thought enji abandoned him because of shoto so he probably hold grudges against shoto too. touya probably didn't know that shoto cared for him and that shoto didn't even want to be enji's successor and that shoto was forced to became enji's successor. touya's extremely possessive? or maybe it's closer to obsessive about becoming enji's successor that it leaded him into having hatred toward shoto. from my perspective, shoto's not at fault because he didn't seem to understand why touya hated him and also the reason why touya hated shoto was also because of touya's yearning passion to become enji's successor. So the whole thing happend because of enji's greed and touya's extreme passion, and in the end that's what made touya hated enji and shoto so bad.
They are quite similar, the only thing that drives Enji and Ei apart is that Enji drowned his sorrows after Touya's 'death' (also changing drastically in the process after the burden of his eldest son's death) and solely focused himself on Shoto with the greed for success. Ei didn't have the heart to abandon Kunikuzushi but she didn't quite make the right choice to just leave him there undefended and foreign to the world. Because of this act, Scaramouche felt as if he wasn't need and betrayed. (just like Dabi) both sons (Kunikuzushi and Touya) thought they were abandoned and despised their parents for it. I find them both of them really similar after seeing this comment, nice comparison!
