Then come out on the road. Btw do all of that in someone supervision. I was 15 when my father was in the passenger sit and I was literally driving in circles in an empty ground.

I think even before you ever start driving, you should be paying attention to your parents or whoever it is you may ride with. @@lukejax1407 I still can't drive without panicking with my mom in the car. Anyone else it's like second nature, my driving instructor was amazing and I did so many lessons with her, I passed both my theory and practical exam perfectly according to my examiner who was a very strict older man. I went on main roads, highways, roundabouts and all kinds of scary intersections with my driving instructor, she barely had to guide me, no issue. My mom on the other hand, without fail, brings me to tears when driving. She flips out over the stupidest thing and puts me on edge which makes me do worse, which gives her more to flip out over. Like putting her feet up against the dash and yelling that I'm gonna hit someone who's so far away. Or saying go slower you're in a neighborhood what if a child runs out (even when I'm already going snail pace, always go slow in neighborhood areas) but lord help someone antsy wants to ride my back bumper, suddenly I need to be going MUCH faster and it's my fault I'm going so slow. Now she wants to force me to drive around with her, saying I'll wanna do it all the time after! No thanks! I've had my license for just over a year and have barely used it because she won't let me go far on my own (it's her car) and only wants me driving far with her, which I refuse. My older brother also says the same things and tells her that she's not helping me at all, just terrifying me. I think we just can't drive with certain people. I feel like I forget everything I learnt and do naturally with her as a passenger because she yells at me for everything.

I was a learner. But because I was eager to learn to drive from young, I took it as an opportunity to observe the driver whenever I was a passenger so that when it was my turn to be a driver I’d be a good one. It’s been 3 quick years and luckily no incidents. Just a recent speeding fine at temporary cameras London to Manchester and it was 11pm and I was tired and needed to get there for my 2 year anniversary. Other than that no issues. I feel some people that lack the confidence, even after they pass put other road users at risk. Zero lack of environmental awareness…
i did a little driving test convention thing when i was 13 and i passed the mini assessment on it 100% and i was a very good driver for that age. probably bc i was into cars and had a good experience and knowledge on how to drive something
The best and composed instructions ive seen from a instructor how she delivers the instructions such simplicity and acts like its natural and ok to make mistakes which i feel when learning a learner the art of an instructor is to make a driver feel like its ok to make mistakes bad or small as your in full control and giving simple instructions over mistakes made very impressive manner
In South Africa, We Have Potholes Within Every meter of the road, even our speed humps have potholes :D... and Taxi drivers have no chill, they don't give right of way if you are currently in from the right of a roundabout and would cut in and cause chaos, and if there are 2 taxi drivers they would also park on both walls/sides of a narrow road and meet up with each other and eat a bag of chips while the passengers jump up and down shaking the entire taxi as music plays and they look at you like what are you doing bro :/ , and you're there struggling with your clutch control and judgement of the road trying to gap in and feeling for that bag of chips they'd be sharing :(

She is doing a amazing job driving and its normal for learners to make mistakes because when learning to drive U can be scared but she is doing a great job
I drive both a school bus and a fedex delivery truck for my jobs. Every now and then, I drive by my driver's Ed instructor in one of those vehicles and wave. She remembers me. When my brother and I were in her class, she was pregnant. She was the teaching instructor in the class and had helping instructors who would ride with students. Normally instructors traded off when riding with students, but after riding with my brother and me once, she started riding with us every time. At the end of the semester she told us it was because we were the only drivers she felt were safe with her baby. That made feel good about my driving.
In India most of us who learn from their family, learn from their vehicle and learner has all control. I managed to drive perfectly after 4 learning drives 😂. Now i am even better than many people at just about 400 km driving.
sometimes i hate when they press down on the clutch or brakes when i have control over the situation. i know im still learning but im at a point where they themselves told me they won't intervene unless necessary. whenever they press down on it, i get uneasy because i dont know if i have control over it or not so i dont know if i can continue
yea, mine does that, and then I think “shit i’ve done something wrong”, but then he doesn’t say anything and im like “… So am I having a heart attack now or not?” lmao
There is always going to be a difference in how people read a situation and that difference grows with the variation in experience. There are times when an instructor has to let their student drive a little closer to the edge of their ability in order to let them learn and grow experience and their are times where the instructor would choose a different approach to yours, even if both are safe. As long as you receive fair feedback and it’s not a regular occurrence just turn that hate into a game to ensure the instructor is kept within their comfort zone - that is what you will need to go with your examiner! If it’s a regular issue, consider changing to an instructor with a higher grading (always choose the highest grade you can afford).
If I had a teacher like her I may want to learn how to drive. In my country not only they are hysterical with the newbies, but will not teach you how they should on purpose (to pay for extra driving lessons so that they make more money), and they will not have the patience. It's extremely rare to find someone, and by now I haven't heard of a good driving teacher in my area. It's simply disappointing. The people and the legislation...
Turning is always my problem. I told my instructor the first time we met that he should always correct me and never hesitate to scold me if i'll do something wrong. Fair enough, he hit my hand (not so hard ofc) when I almost hit another car. Being a first time learner made me more nervous and I cannot think straight.
Okay everyone is relating like everyone has had an instructor at some point. I’m from the US, but does everyone get an instructor? Or do some people just pay for them there??
In uk, You can just book your test and ask to borrow a car from the diving agency or an instructor you can just find for that one test can’t use your own unless passenger side has pedals too. Many get instructors as they need time to learn with professional. With this people still also practice with parents at some point. You pay for each lesson by the hour
@@OizysA Yes, you can drive with your parent(s). However, you’d have to go to a ’course’ that’s around 4 hours long with your parent(s) before you’re legally allowed to drive on the road with them. That’s at least how it is in Sweden. Then you have another 4 hour lesson about drugs, drinking and driving etc that you as a learner driver go on alone. Another ’test’-ish type thing where you go on a wet / icy road and purposefully drive fast and drift around, slide out etc where they test your ability to control your car under different circumstances. And at the very end, a theoretical test that you have to pass as well as a practical driving test to see if your driving is good enough for you to finally get your license.
Most cars older cars are manual, if you do your car test in an automatic car thats all you are licensed to drive. You are not insured to drive a manual car.

Im in the US so different vibe im sure. I had such a GRUMPY older lady for my test. I was beyond stressed. We came up to a turn that was partially blocked by bushes. I started to turn and almost hit someone! She didnt yell. Helped me out. Then when we got back said "I hate failing people. I feel like you know what happened back there. Here you are". Let me tell you im such a damn safe driver to this day 😂
Our drive test and learning cars have a Steering wheel and pedals on both sides of the car so when something goes wrong the instructor can ride the car too since they both have a steering wheel etc, it's mostly for safety reasons to prevent accidents
Well seems like she taken 30 hours from the other instructor and still doesn't know how to use a clutch.... So that's not a good instructor, I would never say hi to them 😂
I think thats instructor to much yelling other student they dont like that we have other personality and experience of life thats normal much better to prove them the old structor wrong and move on
Tbh my mom were super good at teaching me how to use the clutch and shift gears. First thing we did was nail it down on a parking lot and I've never really had any issues with it. Sure I've had my fair bit of stalls but usually they've happened because of hard breaking (collision avoidance) with people and cars being reckless. Better stall the engine than cause an accident. But then again I've driven 4 times so I guess I might jinx it and get horrible at it
Because it's important to know how a car works in the first place, plus if u ever need to borrow a car and it's a manual but u only ever learned automatic, you're pretty screwed
People like this, who driving a manual doesn't come naturally, should be learning in an automatic. Or at least learning off public roads until they can start/stop/turn comfortably
Absolutely not. An automatic has a complete different feeling than a manual, you are literally missing the whole clutch which is essential to start on a manual car. The trick is into picking the right roads for the student skill level which relies on the instructor knowledge of the area. Ideally, on the first lesson the instructor should explain and show to you the car blind spots and the pedals. Then you do a few start/stop and turns on a empty parking spot. Then, off you go. For how long you do this still depends on your skill and yet you can do mistakes on the road because of your own nervousness.
My instructor immediately passed me because the car she brought ended up blowing a tire on the road. I got out and changed it then parallel parked like 🔥THEN I treated a situation between me and a crazed woman on the street jumping on the car while at a stop light like it was not a big deal and calmly called the cops. She was not as collected as me and had no clue how to change a tire. Thank God for my dad making me come out and help him with car related stuff. 😂
That's not true! The country in which the driving lesson takes place, 70% of the total cars are still manual and 90% of learners prefer to take their test in a manual car as it gives them the option to drive either manual or automatic
Haha , its just clutch control , once yer master that , take any corner , tight corner an had to stop into 1st , hold that bite untill yer round the corner , then release full lock with steering wheel
She’s a lot nicer than my instructor was, I was in a tiny car and I’m used to driving big 2500-3500 trucks and duallys even when I was 15 1/2 that’s what I was driving, but in those you have so much visibility not in the tiny car, I almost hit the curb and he grabbed the wheel and then said you “idiot what are you doing” I wasn’t gonna hit the curb, I was close. I said in response, “ trying to drive with this crazy in the passenger seat”
I remember one of my driving instructors was an old guy who was break happy. Before I could even begin breaking, he’s already slamming on it for no reason. Pissed me off I was relieved to be done with him. The other driving instructors were much chiller and I passed with flying colors. However the one who did the test was pregnant and she was due any day, made me so nervous.
She seems like such a nice and patient instructor, I wish I would have had someone like her when I was learning to drive. My instructor was fine but he definitely yelled at me a few times and I almost cried lol.. I was already anxious and stressed, you think yelling is going to help? Lol
I've passed my driving test but my father always love to critic me very negatively on my driving skills until now. I'm almost crying and getting so scared to drive bcs of him. Everytime i make mistakes, he'd always gets so mad he'd just complain without reassure me, as if getting mad on the time would actually makes my skills get better like he won't correct me at all, he changes the whole mood. I get so stressed while driving with him
Congrats on passing your driving test. My dad was pretty much the same, he never believed that I was a good driver, even when I already passed my test. He didn’t trust me at all. Never took me outside our neighbourhood, only in an empty parking lot. Then I got sick of it so I said f this I’m driving by myself. When I started driving alone I feel more comfortable because there’s nobody nitpicking my driving skill. My mom is the same, she always thinks we’re going to crash because she doesn’t trust me too. It will get better, as long as YOU believe that you’re a good driver, nobody can tell you otherwise.
If there is no climb or when driving in flat terrain and u hav a powerful car can pick up the car in 2 nd gear it’s doesn’t hav to be 1 nd gear always .
It seems like such an obvious thing to do, but my instructor never told me when he was pressing the clutch. I thought I was handling the clutch well, when in reality I was not. Also, my mother owned an automatic car, so I couldn't practice using the clutch outside of lessons. In the end, I got an automatic only license and I still can't drive manual. :/
I remember having 2 different instructors. 1 looked like he's conducting whenever he gave directions, 1 was always mad but talks about the days he ran from home and would steal his dads car to learn 😂
I learned to drive on a stick, but I had to learn that from my mom because all of our cars were stick. My behind the wheel training was in an automatic, as is typical in the United States. Now it’s almost impossible to find a stick to purchase here. I just got back from a vacation in Spain, and it was exciting to rent a car that was a stick and to feel like I actually was driving the car again.
I remember one time I took my drivers test with the “cool” instructor, and unfortunately failed. Second instructor was a military dude who complained when I’d mess up, making me even more nervous and frustrated; of course I failed again. Third instructor was a nice lady, but the route was in reverse; I’m almost positive she guilt -passed me 😂 All that to say, I wish I had an instructor like her

I think even before you ever start driving, you should be paying attention to your parents or whoever it is you may ride with. My dad would tell me about his thought process and how to drive and different rules of the road when I was just 10 years old. So by the time I got my permit and started learning, I knew a lot of good info, but I still sucked at controlling the vehicle comfortably, which got polished out with time.
From a friendliness and understanding perspective, this instructor is really nice. Wish I had this kind of experience.
My main conclusion watching your videos is that I would probably die trying to drive on the left

It's completely normal mate. It goes away as your confidence increases. The simplest things will be so normal to you that it becomes like tying your shoes. People making comments while you drive will naturally take some of your brain power away from the task you are doing. Just got to remember that you are perfectly qualified and its only them suggesting things. You know what you're doing.
Same! This happens to me even if it's just my husband. I know he's secretly judging my driving and sometimes he's almost yelling at me so I hate driving with him and I avoid it at all costs. I'd rather be a passenger princess anyway since I have driving anxiety. lol

1: Break - clutch to stop the car stalling after it gets down to 10mph.
2: Always Steady on the clutch then bringing up after its clear. Crossing then bringing up easy so it won't jump like a kangaroo.
When I was driving for the first time with my instructor I was driving around a mall. We were almost done when a car came and I thought they were on the correct side of the road but turns out the we’re headed at my car straight on. Almost a collision but I somehow got out of it. Never will forget😅
She was so chill about hitting the curb! Like yes ma’am it’s a mistake we all make them even as drivers who are experienced let’s move on
In South Africa, We Have Potholes Within Every meter of the road, even our speed humps have potholes :D... and Taxi drivers have no chill, they don't give right of way if you are currently in from the right of a roundabout and would cut in and cause chaos, and if there are 2 taxi drivers they would also park on both walls/sides of a narrow road and meet up with each other and eat a bag of chips while the passengers jump up and down shaking the entire taxi as music plays and they look at you like what are you doing bro :/ , and you're there struggling with your clutch control and judgement of the road trying to gap in and feeling for that bag of chips they'd be sharing :(
Wahahaha also watching this from sunny SA! Don't forget about the smash and grabs plus hijackings we are always on the look out for. Pretty sure we can drive anywhere in the world after driving in SA for a while

They way she said its all right i could feel it it's gonna happen, its fine its fine ,so impressive.

That "That's alright, that's alright, that's fine" warms my heart. My teacher would start nagging about it for the next few minutes
She would’ve hit a family of 5 on that corner where she turned left if it was in NYC😂 lucky she driving in an easy area
Driving School in Sweden. You book ur lesson u pay u drive.
@@mustafa_8915 are u required to pay for an instructor? Are ur parents allowed to teach u?
In uk, You can just book your test and ask to borrow a car from the diving agency or an instructor you can just find for that one test can’t use your own unless passenger side has pedals too. Many get instructors as they need time to learn with professional. With this people still also practice with parents at some point. You pay for each lesson by the hour
@@OizysA Yes but you would need to be insured on their car which is hella expensive. Also its good t have dual control car for emergencies.

I think they are common everywhere in Europe.
Most cars older cars are manual, if you do your car test in an automatic car thats all you are licensed to drive. You are not insured to drive a manual car.
Most cars in UK are, its why we are better drivers lol, with gears and small country roads

But then again I've driven 4 times so I guess I might jinx it and get horrible at it
why u didn’t drive an automatic gear??
specially for learners..
Who tf doesn’t learn to drive stick?
You get the hang of an automatic pretty quickly if you already know stick. It's a whole new process if you drive automatic and want to learn stick
I drove a tractor first, then a manual pick-up. It's better to learn on a stick, imho
R u retooted
Because it's important to know how a car works in the first place, plus if u ever need to borrow a car and it's a manual but u only ever learned automatic, you're pretty screwed
A large empty parking lot is best for learning clutch control. Best to learn before ANYTHING else.
The eye sight. wow
Wow je savais pas tu parle français 👌💖 I fail my test today 😢
Agreed. How does someone not know to turn the steering wheel
My mom and I used a cemetery. Has roads of a sort, and if you mess up bad you are right where you need to be.
Why teach new drivers on a manual they’re nearly extinct and 99% of these drivers will never touch one after this class
I’d say 87%
That's not true! The country in which the driving lesson takes place, 70% of the total cars are still manual and 90% of learners prefer to take their test in a manual car as it gives them the option to drive either manual or automatic

Congrats on passing your driving test. My dad was pretty much the same, he never believed that I was a good driver, even when I already passed my test. He didn’t trust me at all.

Third instructor was a nice lady, but the route was in reverse; I’m almost positive she guilt -passed me 😂
All that to say, I wish I had an instructor like her
