- Last week we celebrated the second anniversary of The Voice Global! For this, we wanted to THANK YOU with a special compilation and therefore asked you to share with us your all-time favorite performance.
We’re happy to see that we received lots of performances, thank you very much for that! Based on the favorites you shared with us, we have created a new compilation.
We divided the compilation into the most favorite performances of The Voice (the first 5 performances) and The Voice Kids (the last 5 performances).

it's originally performed by Jamala on ESC'16, when she won the ESC. It's about Crimean tatars (the Crimean folks), 'bout the story of Jamala's grandma, who's family was departed from Crimea into Asia by Joseph Stalin, the ruler of USSR

The girl from Ukraine singing 1944 gave me goosebumps.

1944 is a song written and performed by Ukrainian singer Jamala. It represented Ukraine in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017.
The song is about the deportation of the Crimean Tatars. Basically, an ethnic cleansing (several thousand died, in the process). Some of the lyrics are in the Crimean Tatar language. That's why it's such an emotional song. Stalin punished close to 200,000 people of an ethnic minority, exiling them from their homes and sending them to Uzbekistan, for the actions of a fraction of them who joined up with the Nazis. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1944_(song)

The cover of when we were young is the most incredible male vocal performance. So much emotion, complete perfection on this song...no one has ever done it better in my opinion. Brings tears to the eyes of everyone i've ever shared with. Truly a master singer/performer on that one. Bravo!

The power of the song 1944 is impressive - the hold it has on the performer and the audience. I LOVE THAT THAT SONG WON EUROVISION! But also, you need to be insanely talented vocally to pull off whatever insanity you need to pull off! 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Russian girl got cut, then for some reason they decided to bring her back and she ended up winning that season, then when she became an adult she went to Poland got on their adult version and ended up 6th I believe
