i got the 440 V1 a couple of years ago and still have them today and skate them (haven't skated much since i bought them) one of the best skate shoes i ever tried for real, only problem is that they were a bit too narrow for my wide foot, so the V2 could be perfect for me. sucks about the durability though i definitely feel like my 440s have been waaaay more solid and durable than previous skate shoes ive skated. I used to start seeing significant wear after even the first session on skate shoes especially with a new board, but these have been rock solid so far
I’m pretty picky with shoes, and these 440’s are so good it’s insane. The mid tops might be even better in my opinion. But that’s me! Definitely a great fit and skate too damn good.
I have to strongly disagree about these being a wide shoe. I went a half size up on the Vú Skate Shop collab just to get the width right. I don’t even have wide feet. There are wide options available in some colorways. Might try a wide (E width) in my normal size 10.
I have several pairs of the V1. They do seem a bit narrow. Oddly, I've noticed that the fit can vary from one pair of 440s to another of the same size. I think it may depend on the materials used. They change up the different parts of the shoe from one colorway to another. Some might be all suede. Others, can be party leather, or all leather, etc. There were a couple pairs that were a little to tight for my liking. One pair was listed as Challenger and had a slightly different insole. The other smallest one was black and white with white rubber on the side of sole. Luckily, I bought some new Hanes socks. The XTemp ones that are thinner and breathable. They were thin enough to make the two trouble pairs of shoes fit better. All the other shoes fit great. I really like that model of shoe a lot. Plus, they are pretty easy to find on sale. You can get them for $40 to $50 at Zumiez.
@@idmhead0160 I fully agree with material composition changing the fit and feel of a shoe. I don’t think it should make such a difference after the shoe is broken in, unless additional layers are added on.
Just arrived today. So comfortable.
You make me want another pair.

Thanks for the review, including an actual wear test. Nice skating also. So, are the 440s your favorite skate shoe?
No but they are still a good shoe.
Definitely want to try a NB shoe at some point. This one looks like it could be a good one.
Definitely worth it!

Been looking at this since there’s a good sale on this shoe, ended up going with some adidas superstars since they were also on sale.
Been wanting to try some of those they look like a good shoe.
