Brother , I am a Sub-Inspector in the Delhi Police, and the work here is overwhelming. We often have to work more than 14 hours a day, constantly shuttling between court and the police station, managing files, and conducting investigations. The things we witness and hear daily-cases of murder and other crimes-take a toll on us mentally. On top of that, the workload is immense, leaving us stressed and exhausted. Unfortunately, no one in the department seems to be taking any steps to improve our work-life balance or introduce better shift systems.

We need to understand that work is just one aspect of life, not life itself. Other aspects like social life, hobbies, sports, etc. are just equally important! These big corporations want to be like USA and will give blabbering of 70 hrs a week but will never have the gutz to pay hourly.

I was a l&t employee for 18 months and trust me I have worked 28 days per month including 2 sundays out of 4 sunday in month . Daily 12 hour work shift excluding travel time , include travel in that and it will go 14 hour a day and even on sundays we are forced to work . Being a engineer from NIT , we deserve better . Salary below 50k .

A fellow nurse commenting here, living and working in gulf, our working hours are capped to max 12hr per day that too with overtime and mandatory one day off per week to recover. So completely agree that increasing number of working hours is just not l feasible in the long term health of ourselves and of course our patients.

The thing is, these CEOs worked on their passion projects and now expects everyone to work the same hours as they did, without realising that you can't force someone to work on a thing that they don't like/passionate about, NOT that they're lazy,
A person thinks that if he has to give 12 hours work to a thing, he better give those hours to a project he actually likes and would thrive from, rather than working like rats to generate money for someone else
CEO's multipliers for their work hours are huge. Regular employees' multiplier for their work hours are really small.
CEO and senior management's nature of work is very different - literally flying in business class and attending meetings is defined as work. Grunt work is less.

I wanted one advice , what kind of meditation should I do other than trataka(since dr k said it is not very safe to do it on your own) for increasing focus and concentration . Currently I am just sitting in one place in padma sana and closing eyes and not thinking (but I am not sure if it increases focus of not).

Along with that, I also set a goal that I just want to nomenclature "project dream," as I want to start from a very long time... a bit about my day, so today is my practical, which doesn't go much well par pass ho jaunga par. i feel an elevation in my life.
