      You're already starting to see the hype catch onto Grand Seiko. Prices for more and more pieces are rising, and anything that has a dial that is slightly more unique than a normal solid black/white dial is holding its value very well.

    • @cluk4510
      @cluk4510 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      People has been saying price rise, but I disagree. GS is not increasing price for the same case and movements. Price increase is often associated to new case material/case design, movements and special dial. The basic quartz and 8 beat automatic is largely the same price as in 2012, the year I started paying attention to GS

    I've always had a thing for watches, but I found your channel close to a year ago (I think) and my love and appreciation for them has deepened and widened more than I can really say. I never realized how much function a watch could have, and beyond that i never understood what made a watch a "good" watch.
    Now it's Jan 2021, and my fiance bought me a Seiko Chronograph for xMas. I'm kinda obsesse with Seiko now, with everything from their design to the meaning and history behind the company name. I'm plotting out which Grand Seiko I'll buy first once I've earned and saved myself enough money. I feel real pride in my watch taste now and I love my Seiko so much. I'll be recommending your site to all of my friends in order to learn about and browse watches. That, IMO, is such a stunning watch. From the deep ocean blue dial with perfect number markers and an instant flip date, let's not forget the second markers at an angle around the ring. The red sweeping needle of the second hand, in a casing that is perfect sized and actually shows off the dial.
    Then you look at the back. When you didn't think the front of the watch could be topped, you get the "wake up, stupid" slap in the face by the giant jewels, incredible workmanship, that will make someone who knows nothing about watches, gasp and know there is something special keeping the time under the hood.
    All that for just over $8,000.00 . What a great price for that much watch.

      Presage grade?. You have obviously never tried on this watch. Fyi, the band is an entirely new design, and I was told by the Boutique that it was designed with tighter tolerences than legacy steel bands. This watch kills any Presage, lol!

    I have two months with mine and love it. It’s pretty amazing on a aged tan strap which helps the case and dial look mesmerizing.

    you know a dial is beautiful when you sigh aloud even thinking about it, when its not even on the screen. that GS pink dial will haunt me, my dreams, and my credit card's dreams, forever

    Thanks Watchfinder, great review. Great looking watch. No lume? Basically a dress watch, then. I've never tried one on, but I've heard others complain about the bracelet. How is it? Thanks again.

    LOVE this watch. Only thing that leaves me cold almost always are the bracelets. They are almost there to make every watch irresistible.

    Beautiful watch and movement, but should have blued screws considering the price. They are the best bang for the buck in luxury watches.

    I don't like the 22mm lug width. Makes the watch looks larger disproportionately. Similar mistake to Sub maxi case. 20mm would have been better.

    Don’t like the red second hand. Don’t like the 🦋 clasp. But the dial looks nice.
