Those who spent money in chests to get this KPZ or any of the other tanks, are just crazy in my opinion. I will not spend one Cent in the game anymore as long as WG forces this kind of gambling.
I spent $50USD for 40 silver chests. I then got one mystic that had a Weisel Tow. Out of all the daily win silver chests I got another Mystic chest. In this last mystic chest I got the T95E2 T8 tank.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the long haul op/warchest redesign was very intentionally overlapped with winter fest to force players to buy more of the event chests. FOMO was through the roof with the KPZ. I’ll admit I did spend a little bit of money on the chests because of course I wanted the new tank - but I was unlucky and did not get it. But all the other items you could get from the chests were honestly just not worth it. Barely any gold in return, 2D commanders that I’ll never use, and an event currency which after a certain point was just useless. If the new tank was available for purchase outright, I could have just gotten it. If I had spent the same amount of money on the regular warchests (which wasn’t possible due to the pausing of them for rework) I would have gotten far more gold compensation. The gambling aspect is just out of control and really left a bitter taste in my mouth.
I’m a year player and don’t have many premium tank as longtime players do, got some premium tanks from this event that I always wanted, and a bunch of camo from snowballs,yes spent some gold to buy chest, but it’s worth for new players
Btw i got the kpz out of chest and it is sub par. It's gun is derby half the time , they already nerfed it. The horns on the yeti skin counted as extra armor, after a sneak update no longer, and using the yeti skin decreases the angle of the UFP. the pen is disappointing, the top of the turret is easily over matched , and the mobility is eh ? For a "rare" tank it is very disappointing for how much it cost to get it.
This event was easily one of the worst things the Devs have done since 6.0. Just horrible all-round. Awful sales, completely USELESS rewards, and the Ice Queen modes were BEYOND stupid. The loot boxes were the worst of it all and just absolutely shocking. I’m praying that they do not become a permanent replacement for our regular war chests.

I didn't think the mode was bad. I agree with the commander xp booster part. I received 8 new tanks by just playing everyday. 3 epics from free chests. I don't agree with a new tank behind pay wall either. Will the gaming community ever be happy with the devs of the game their playing?
Add up the gold cost of all those rewards and it's easily 100k gold worth of things they gave us. I'm not complaining 1 bit. Oh and how about all the free xp! That's a huge help with some of these shity tanks lines.
For a player who didn't have many premium tanks, this event was good. I bought 100 chests and it was a joke. I dont even play coldwar. I don't want Coldwar tanks. I got a bunch of camo vouchers and crap commanders. Overall for the money spent, I didn't get much out of it.
The warchests are a discrase. And still people seem to have spent fortunes on them. Myself i live in a country that has laws in place that make lootboxes like this illegal gambling. So for me there was even a litteral 0 chance for me to get the new tank. The event was just boring i played allot during the week of the old toytank mode and had allot of fun as i had last year. But the new modes i played 3 times then i was already sick of it. It is so boring and the bots look aweful. They look like they were designed to atrackt kids to play Mario cart or something.

Plus all the skins and camo for free. And all the hero commanders. There was alot to be gained by just playing imo

Agree..I did not enjoy it. However my gifts were decent. But the grind was way unenjoyable.
