A few things he is glossing over and should have been mentioned:
1. not every PC or laptop has build-in BT.. In this case you need a BT dongle that you can buy online or at your nearest tech shop.
2. PlayStation controllers are not so compatible with windows then Xbox controllers. Yes, Steam has build in PS4 and PS5 controller support, but try to play games outside of the Steam environment and you will notice it's harder to get things working nice. Xbox controllers also need a BT dongle if played wireless but they work seamless both inside and outside the Steam environment. Only thing that is really better on the PS controllers is the trackpad which in certain cases can be used to control the mouse.
3. I would have liked to see him also show him connecting and playing games from Ubi connect, GOG, Epic and EA.. Just some games OUTSIDE of Steam.
I bought a ps5 controller purely bcs of the symmetrical design. I hate the joystick being on upper left.
It won’t work wirelessly with emulators or outside of steam.
Controller for 3rd person and racing games and keyboard and mouse for 1st person and strategy. I do use my wheel for racing and Flight stick for flying or mech games.

If you want to use the Dual sense as a wired controller but your PC only has USB type-C and does not have a type-A port... it will work with a type-C to type-C cable. I've tested it, and it is working.
Just thought I'd mention that because I'm at the part of the video where he was talking about connecting it with a type-A connector.

Quick note: for games outside of steam, I think it's required to have the controller cable connected.

Use DS4 by ryochan7, you will be able to use your controller not only in steam but emulators and it has a Battery bar so you can know your %.

I have my ps5 controller connected to play gta 5 but don’t know how to change the controller button input. For example L2 is to go back instead of ⭕️. Anyone know how to change the button layout so it’s similar to console? Tried to change it in the settings for gta but it wouldn’t give me the option. Any ideas??

I did all of the steps, but under steam it still whos "no controller detected". I know its connected because I'm still able to see under the desktop Bluetooth settings and play warzone.

For some reason my PC doesn't support Bluetooth unless I get a Bluetooth USB, unless it is normal and a lot of people use them.
if its not built into your motherboard you need to get a usb

You have to use DS4 windows to use non steam games, its an easy set up and works well. You can also add a non steam game to your steam library, starting the game through steam will then use the steam controller settings for the game.

Checking PlayStation configuration works expect the button layouts are all in Xbox.🤦♂️ unchecking it will make the controller useless.

acctuallty not realy god of war deathloop or horrizon or ff 7 remake . but we also got on pc god fall sifu kena the pathless solar ash soon forspoken is coming on pc day one with the ps5 port . and we got ghsot wire is day and date . also i seen alot of ps1 games on steam store and allot of ps2 games used too be exclusive on ps2 nope also ps3 games heavy rain and few rpg games was ps3 exclusive now on stema pc store we got allot of exclusive games from sony they are not the popular games
also we can emulate ps1 and ps2 and all ps3 games and all psp gasmes so this is why not many people got ps plus premium it is use thing too buy if your a pc gamer . please do not buy ps plus premium too play old games because you can play them free on your pc the ps premium did not have games i want i just added them on pc legend off dragoon dude too licesne problem it never be added and legend of legaia as well due too problems never add on premium . sly cooper games got removed my friend was upset so he just download them all on ps3 emulator they play fine from start too finsh

For me, mouse/keyboard is better for RPG, Simulator, and FPS. Controller is better for fighting, racing, platformers, and emulators.
Agreed but simulator really depends what simulator you are playing. Flight sims maybe because of all the extra buttons you can access on the keyboard. American truck sim nah its more like controller keyboard and mouse lol
In short: Yes, it's works just like an Xbox controller. Hopefully it won't disintegrate like my Xbox Elite Controller. 😡
