Os Mercados Municipais de Olhão, um dos ex-libris da cidade, começaram a ser construídos em 1912, sendo inaugurados quatro anos depois em 1916. Submetidos a obras de reabilitação nos finais do século XX, mantêm o aspeto exterior, e há mais de um século que são um dos postais ilustrados de Olhão.
São compostos por dois espaços o Mercado das Verduras e o Mercado do Peixe, dois edifícios com enorme impacto urbanístico, construídos em tijolo e estrutura metálica, sendo ambos delimitados por quatro torreões circulares envidraçados, exemplo modelar da arquitetura do ferro e do vidro.

One of the city's landmarks, construction began in 1912, opening four years later in 1916. Subjected to rehabilitation works at the end of the 20th century, they maintain their exterior appearance, and have been one of the postcards for over a century. illustrated from Olhão.
The Vegetable Market and the Fish Market are made up of two spaces, two buildings with enormous urban impact, built in brick and metal structures, both delimited by four circular glazed turrets, a model example of iron and glass architecture.
