Was depressed after I realized I'd waisted 5 years of my life in college just to have the job I wanted become readily available to anyone and realized I'm now 100k in det. After watching your video it made me feel better somehow. I don't know how it just did thankyou.
Checked out a different streamer for this game before realizing how much I missed Science Time and Kyle's general exploration/gaming style. Always appreciate you, Kyle!
"Resurrection" was actually a techno remix from the OST of Soviet movie called "Siberiada". The fight score in the Seed Storage is a dynamic score remix of it.
@@isekaiexpress9450 i just happened to find that just now and came back to correct myself! god damn!! Composer passed away at the end of 2022 as well, how about that.
Does anyone know the name/artist of the not-PPK's-Resurrection music at 2:51:13? :) (My Pixel 6 Pro's background music recognition didn't identify it, but I'm not surprised with all the game SFX and voices obscuring it lol)
Anyone else notice they modify the enemies when your healing to make them miss you? I imagine they saw that dying while healing is extremely frustrating and happened often with the enemy encounters and level layouts they had already made, and decided that subtly nerfing the enemies while your healing was their best option.
@@dokidelta1175 Funny you mention FromSoft. In the early souls games, the devs had had A lot of trouble with both players running out of heals between shops and dying while healing. Both had A massive impact on the approachability of the OG Demon Souls and they fixed it in future games with the estus flask, by having it heal very quickly and while moving along with refilling at every bonfire. They reduced the amount of deaths while in combat and instead dictated the difficulty by the spacing of the bonfires and the hard limit on heals between them. But they never went this far.
That was great! Very enjoyable video/stream, very non-enjoyable dialogue writing, lol! I don't think we can blame it on the voice actors when just the text the have to work with is just so oof. If you can blend that out (and the fact that you're playing the most unlikeable protag I've seen in a long time) it is a really awesome game. Love the atmosphere, the art style, the music especially. At some points the video is very dark though, so it's hard to see what's going on. I gotta admit I'm watching another LP of the game in my native language so I understand everything, and the guy who plays that is also extremely thorough and reads every mail, listening to all audio logs and facility announcements, looking into every bit of lore scattered around etc. so you definitely learn a lot more about the story and the involved characters that way, and connect some dots yourself. But I'm watching this stream here afterwards because of the NEAT ;) scienc-y commentary. Thank you for the explanations along the way, I love those science times! If you're not overwhelmed, I'd love to have more of them.
Unpopular opinion but I actually like the dialogue in this game and the story has me hooked. My biggest issues are the achievements bug and the performance issues on Xbox 😅 Hopefully another patch will fix it though. I hope you're doing well bro and I'll try to catch the next live 🙂
"dOnT uSe SuBtItLeS, tHeyRe diStraCtinG" ....then just dont read them then? Treat them like Ads and completely ignore them (Edit) did i just watch a horny fridge try to dispatch the protagonist??
I wonder what the odds are that a lone baseball thrown in space would avoid everything on its voyage to the edge of the universe. I know there is no way to calculate this.
HI, Kyle. I was just wondering if it possible to science something out of Destiny 2? Maybe you can make a simple video of "How can you use the light as a weapon?" "What is the transmat method and how does it work?". Just giving some suggestions
Out of whoever the fuck else played this game, I decided I'd watch mister science man play, which meant i had to wait a while for him to finish before I watched. But now its sciencin time.
For the life of me, I don't understand how so many people don't at all enjoy the English voice acting of this game. They'd rather find reason to complain and/or fun to criticize its sheer and obvious corniness, and for that it isn't any good. With that sentiment however, I disagree, and say that there's some pretty good humour in this salt-and-buttered corncob of a script, it's bringing me way back to those good old, and very silly Duke Nukem, "I oughta break a broom handle off in your ass" days. Besides, the jar-headed and childlike questions from the hero is simplest, quickest, smoothest (easygoing) way to learn more and more about the decent sci-fi lore of this world, directly from the sidekick. I just don't see where the BIG problem with it all is, and that's mostly because I cannot see 'it', but that's just me. I only suggest that people embrace these corn bitties showered all upon their helpless bodies, because this shit all here is frickin _cream_ corn baby!
Hey, Kyle, this comment will probably get drowned out by the noise, but I had a question I thought I might try to ask for the second train derailment live-stream. I was talking with my mom about the event and when I mentioned how the chemicals were below dangerous levels, she responded by saying how there will probably be long-term consequences such as cancer and birth defects. I was hoping to get your take on such a topic.
i personally like the English dialogue, it is fun! :) if i had the chance to program an AI interactive 'bot' i would DEFINITELY pattern it after NORA! but CAUTION... do NOT fist android girls... only cautiously finger them... you never know where the pinch points could be. :D ADDITIONALLY... ensure you read the owner's manual completely and follow the recommended lubrication instructions as to frequency, type, grade, and amounts. ;9
To anyone losing their hair over the fact that this "game supports war in Ukraine" - and I was among them - settle down. I don't think it (or its devs) does. I don't know who the developers are - but there's a pretty subtle yet meaningful part of the game which tells me - no, it doesn't support the special madman operation. When the protagonist enters the beautifully rendered version of futuristic cabrio-Chaika (the bliss of not needing to licence your car designs... because there's no copyright legislation in place) - the radio in the car starts playing a song called Миллион роз (A million roses). The verse of the song goes Миллион, миллион, миллион алых роз - or "Million of red roses" - and it is being performed by Alla Pugacheva. While the song is probably one of the most - if not THE MOST POPULAR - pop song in the USSR/Russia - and extremely popular in many other countries (including my country - Latvia - and for some reason - Japan), the singer herself is THE MOST popular performer/pop music goddess in the USSR/Russia. She, together with her much younger husband Galkin, are rumoured to have moved to Israel - because of her beliefs in regard to current "leadership" of Russia - which were not compatible with the said "leadership". Apparently, she's quoted saying this (even present on her Wikipedia page in Russian - which is impressive, considering she's probably one of the most well-known women in USSR/Russia in general): "What a happiness it is to be hated by those whom I have never been able to tolerate. If I was liked by them - it would mean that I have sung - and lived - in vain. The reason [of their hatred] is clear. Let them grind their teeth. [People] were once bondmen, now they're slaves". Also - the song was composed by a very popular (both in Latvia and in the USSR) composer Raimonds Pauls - who is of course, Latvian. Upon reading more about the song I learned it achieved major success and popularity in many countries, even far outside the former USSR, soon after its release in 1983. And by the way - this whole deal - her disdain for the current "puppy master" and his flock of sheep - is extremely well-known. There are many journals and periodicals in Russia who wrote about this - so the song's presence in the game is, most likely, not a sheer coincidence. Either way - thanks for the video, best of luck from Latvia.
Unfortunately. When you put it to Russian mode. I couldn't read the tiny text boxes. Also. Is it just me or does the MC of this want to be a discount Duke Nukem?
Come for the science and B-movie dialogue, stay for the horny as hell upgrade robot.
Do you plan on playing Stellaris in a future stream?
Man of culture
RAD!
This stream contains 15 instances of Science Time as calculated by the Buster Sharp Institute for Science goodness.
Sciencerific

1:27:34 WTF?! I can't stop laughing at that mood whiplash!
ART, I TELLS YA!!!
1:20:40 Ok, this game is a fucking work of art! Its creators are _very_ imaginitive.

oh man hearing the lullaby was so nostalgic. The game put a creepy twist on it but I remember my mom singing it to me, simpler times XD
2:51:13 Hmm, this human music from the future sounds distinctly like PPK's "Resurrection" from.....2001.

Well this was just a wholesome experience, especially every interaction with the upgrade robot(s). Can we do it again, substitute Thor?

Meanwhile FromSoftware enemies: “Look he’s healing! Quick shoot him in the face!”

Somebody should tell mine that. They have no problem hitting me while healing.

by the looks of it, yes. a horny fridge tried to dispatch P3
This game gives me Bioshock Infinite vibes.
this game makes me feel so nostalgic. good ol' times. not like nowadays are bad, but those were special times.
12 minutes in & I'm getting a Russian _Rapture_ vibe, from the description. Build a Utopia, watch the people break it.
I wonder what the odds are that a lone baseball thrown in space would avoid everything on its voyage to the edge of the universe. I know there is no way to calculate this.
This game is a compelling case for silent protagonists.
Gameplay looks good tho. Really enjoy the Science Times!
Bruh, how does it lag so hard on pc, but my last gen xbox runs this perfectly, bar the occasional frame drop
"Those dang AI generated hot thumbnails"... and then it wasn't AI generated at all. :O
Respect to Granny Zina, but holy heck those ballerina robots got me
I get real doc disrespect vibes while watching the first 5 minutes of his streams
IM SORRY Mr Kyle........But your reactions to the h0rny robot had me rollin in laughs😂😅
old soveit art is some of my favorite stuff i don't know why
That change in movement speed reminds me of Golden Eye. Fewer assets drawn → game goes faster. I don't think it's the same in this one though.
Seems like the slight slow down while looking at something and turning is an attempt to simulate walking while turning your head?
Could someone PLEASE tell me the song at 55:57

My innocence is being ripped away by a fridge.
Of course now there'll be the inevitable cosplay twin outfits😳
I think the english voice actor is the same guy who did the voice for male V in Cyberpunk 2077?
My man is cultured af

I realized Adam savage acknowledged you as a worthy person to pass the torch to. You are truly worthy dollar store thor
GAMEPLAY + LEARNING SCIENCE?? GENIUS !
English voice sounds liek the same actor who did the male V voice lines in Cyberpunk.
but wooooooooorse
I don’t know if I will every witness a hornier game…
This game is something else :)

We can fix it with more Robussy

He already is, so yes?
nightmare to have all you worked for tear apart before your eyes
unless you be drop'n spoilers for us all
hey kyle, do you like cookies?
Lotta gleepin and glorpin going on here. Game looks amazing.
Sick stream starting beat @kylehill
I CAN NOT WAIT
Is the game have that many optimization issues? I've only got a 2070 Super 8gb. I fear my rig would hate this game. i7 to note.

It runs pretty good. You may have to turn down some textures and fog and stuff
I'm a tad late but I'm excited to see!

People are giving the voice acting a lot a shit, but in their defense the lackluster writing isn't giving the actors much to work with
Unfortunately. When you put it to Russian mode. I couldn't read the tiny text boxes.

The crime of the Atomic Heart devs was that they PAY TAXES.
Nice ti-89
Of course her names Xena and no i dont care that they spell it Zena
Be warned, their streamer mode doesn't work 100% to get rid of claims.
YEAH, I WAS JUST CLAIMED
@Kyle Hill Unfortunately, GamingonLinux also had issues with the streamer mode in his video earlier today.
Damn the english voice is horrible. The german one is so much better (nothing beats the russian version tho)
I think the script is just...bad.
Kyle: It thinks my controller is xbox. Also Kyle: Keeps hitting playstation X instead of Xbox X.
The english VA isn't terrible at all. Why are people such babies about everything? This game is awesome.
Always on mouse acceleration and no fov slider = instant pass.
