I wonder how bad the people I used to play with are shitting their pants and crying about Eldrazi after YEARS of claiming Tron was unfair. Literal garbage opinion, but they claimed it was unfair, and that Twin was fair. Seeing a 22/22 on turn 4 is WAY worse than even Karn Liberated on turn 3.
Regarding the conspiracy of The One Ring, it honestly wouldn't surprise me. The people in control of the Tolkien Estate are rather mental. I live a few miles from Sarehole Mill (where Tolkien grew up), and there's a cafe that was forced to change their name because they were called "The Hungry Hobbit"
I was today years old when I learned that timeless dragon was modern legal. I am so used to seeing it in the occasional legacy deck that it never once occurred to me to look at the set symbol and see it was MH2
I hate the eldrazi matchup so much. I’ve played against it as blue/white variants 6 times in the last few weeks in paper. I play one mainboard consign because I like the card, and I bring in 3 more, 2 blood moon, and 2 crumble to dust, and I still can’t seem to win the matchup. It’s so frustrating
26:00 Please note that You could technically keep the wandering emperor after the annihilator trigger. I mean you would probably still be dead with no lands.
at 1:35:00 you aren't actually dead, right? the static prison only gives them energy if you have nonland permanents for it to exile. granted, I don't think you actually had any outs anyway, but you could have had one more draw step of despair
I made a version of this with foretell spells, doom Skar and starmheim unleashed. March and prismatic ending can in theory kill the ring. Also maybe it’s to slow but possibly Ashioks erasure can just blank the ring.
Revival in this deck seems like the kind of flexible card that can be good to have in the main deck and then board out in almost every matchup for more focused cards that are stronger in the match you now know you’re playing.

1:34:58 The static prison won't actually gain any energy since it doesn't have targets for its ETB trigger, so you're no more dead than when they played the Ocelot (which is to say probably very dead but shh...)
