ANDY is the best tune on this album. Very hard to pick among all the rest of the tunes, they all come in second... You 2 will LOVE WAKA-JAWAKA a mostly instrumental album, much different from what you have already heard. That album and it's 4 sisters are the reason Frank was called a Genius.
Yeah, I never heard Andy before this, and it was top notch for sure! Surprised no one mentioned it to me before? Eager to try Waka. Personally, I enjoyed Wazoo, so I assume I will like it as well. Same era I do believe.
Wow! What a reaction… and what music! This album has almost everything you want in Frank! I agree you should take a break from albums, but try and discover new songs you haven’t heard yet by him - maybe save the ones you don’t know for the channel and the ones you do for the car 😊 I always hoped you would do an early Mothers album but then I remembered they all have some non kid-friendly material with the exception of Lumpy Gravy. Maybe try that one in a few weeks? Just make sure it’s the Verve version as the other one is sole orchestra. It’s one of my favorites but it’s so ahead of its time it’s bizarre! I don’t want to spoil the fun so I will not describe it - it’s unlike anything he ever did. I also considered Freak Out tracks 1-11 to keep it PG. Thoughts?
I'm pumped to get this one in the car, but I do think the kids will like Apostrophe as well. OSFA will most likely enter my top Zappa albums! I have listened to Freak Out in the car... certain tracks for the kids. They were unsure haha. And yeah, I believe I will have to pull specific ones from The Mothers in the future.
Haven't inspected Lumpy Gravy at all, so I didn't even know about two versions for it. We do have some usual one-offs in the vault coming soon, and I do have a plan for me in the coming weeks mainly pertaining to two items that I have NOT heard anyone mention... 👀
@@TheBaileyFamilyReviewsyou played them the whole of Freak Out?? I can’t be hearing that straight, must have been select tracks right? 😂 And Yes, all the Mothers ones have goofy stuff scattered about.
@@TheBaileyFamilyReviews add it to the list, it’s a must! Frank utilized the studio to the absolute max in 1967! Excited to hear what those are you are cookin 😊
+1 for Rosie picking up the harmonica!
I'll let her know!
Big Papa and Sister Rose 😂
