      James, thanks, good information, but why would you say that companies from Taiwan or India are less likely to knock off your product and compete with you on Amazon? I know China is known for knocking people off, but aren't suppliers from all countries doing that now that they can sell on Amazon and online?
      Do you have a favourite site for contacting Taiwanese suppliers? Thanks again.

      @@jogb9515 great question! The reason why I say this is due to the sheer quantities of Chinese suppliers and sellers on Amazon. Click on any seller name and you can see exactly where they are located. In some categories, it’s nearly 70% from China. Moreover, they still get heavily government subsidized shipping to the United Stares, a benefit countries like India and Taiwan don’t enjoy. Lastly, the Amazon seller culture in China is almost a standard operating procedure. Working with many suppliers in India and Taiwan, their culture is more focused on production and volume. I do have come competitors India, but their Amazon business acumen is nowhere close to China. In fact, Chinese sellers are better than most American sellers.

      @@jogb9515 in regards to your question about Taiwanese suppliers, I just use Alibaba. Once I find a good factory and want to expand, I will enlist the help of the factory to source items not available on Alibaba. Definitely some good opportunities there as not all manufacturers are on Alibaba. Some produce for the local domestic market only unless inquired upon.

    My first product had a very long production time, which definitely made it more challenging for me to manage stock and avoid running out of stock! It's definitely not the best for a first product 😅 It does scare a lot of people though so as a 2nd product and onwards, it can be a great opportunity! Great video 😀

    My issue is with brand lines. I have a nice ROI on my first product. 6x cad and 3x USA and top 1-4. How ever to go deep .. all my other products are lower margins and more like 1x ROI. lot harder to scale and one item is sourced I. Texas and MOQ is 20 pallets but I talked to them to buy it all up front and made and send pallets in as I need them. But..... I'm only making 20% but lead time is 7 day. So I'm ok with that at _6k mk the pocket. After COG. After 3- 4 months.

    Hi thanks sincerely for all the info, when is height of the box , to be small products should be below 0.75 of a inch ? that's pretty flat item...

    • @JamesLaiTV
      @JamesLaiTV 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Exactly or just a small item. There a lot of gems that meet this criteria.

  • @daved5023
    @daved5023 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I found that over size items are way better but have to be light weight . Why. Because less competition... Less PPC cost to launch. Page one in 4 days .lol and still make bank.. why cause your telling everyone to go small items lol
