    fantastic video thank you. Are tele neck pickups always forward wound or can you wind them counterclockwise?

      Thank you, you can wind it CW or CCW but what ever way you do it make sure the other pickup is wound in the opposite direction as it helps with hum cancelling.

    What gauge copper wire did you use?

      Teles generally use 42 gauge magnet wire for the bridge pickup and 43 gauge magnet wire for the neck pickup. Heavy formvar was the standard up until the CBS merger, at which point they switched to plain enamel. Plain enamel is quite a bit more expensive these days, and you have to sand off the coating when you thread the eyelets to get a good solder
