"Go forth and secure things"
Great video guys! It really helped.
I did a trial of this about a month ago on my own device and noticed there was quite a noticeable amount of increased battery drain along with some apps/sites having a slower response time due to the scanning. Have you noticed anything on your trial? I've since stopped the trial as it seemed not worth the performance hit but may revisit it in the future.
So would a good first step be to deploy Defender but do not turn on Web Filtering yet so you can pull stats like applications and iOS versions? That way there's not a performance hit (like I saw) and nothing is being scanned yet (Web Filtering)?
Is the control filter required if you don't want to have the WebProtection?
Hi Steve and Adam. If I have created the app configuration profile and selected Microsoft Defender IOS store App, and later get the IOS volume purchase app, do I then need to create a new Config Profile targeted to Volume App??
Hey there, about 9 minutes in you're speaking about configuring web protection and noting the piece about the VPN. Adam you say something alone the line of, you must apply the disable Web protection if you want to use web protect but not have the VPN on. Doesn't the disable web protection config disable all of web protect, not just the VPN? I thought the VPN has to be enabled in order for web protect to work at all on iOS. Maybe I'm misunderstanding and that's exactly what you are saying? Sorry, just a little confused on this point. Thanks all your channel does!
Hi guys, awesome content.. I'm starting to learn intune and was wondering if I should start from this reboot series or the first series with 53 episodes? Thanks!
While we have numbered each of the episodes, the episodes can be watched as you need to learn about the topic in the episode for the most part (there might be a couple of them that are linked but very limited)
Would love to see a video on how you block personal devices and then add windows, ios and Android devices one by one. Then going to "pretend personal devices" and demonstrating that users cannot bypass the restrictions put into place. Struggling with this at the moment.
Check this video around 10:30 mark

Follow up, just had a thought, when we were doing this manually it would configure the VPN settings on the device and you'd see 'VPN' at the top of the device, but following this, you don't have that. Is that anything to be concerned about, should I be deploying a VPN profile for Defender, or is this a way to configure the Web Protection without the user seeing VPN?
If your device is supervised then you don't need the VPN profile
Do you guys actually hate each other? It’s so awkward and passive aggressive sounding all the way through
We are great friends actually.
