- Kresen Kernow is home to more than 1.5 million documents relating to Cornwall’s past and all of these items have a story to tell!
While some reveal stories about famous people and events, others offer a glimpse into the lives of the ordinary men and women who have lived in and shaped Cornwall over the centuries.
Join us for a free online talk about a small leather-bound photo album, with ‘L Opie, The Hostel, Nov 1917’ written on the first page, which features in our ‘She Cares: Women and Health in Cornwall’ exhibition.
But who was L Opie? In this fascinating talk, learn how L Opie’s life and family were discovered and how you can use the same sources and methods to research the lives of people in the past, including your own ancestors!
