In his interview with Fuchsia, Saqib Sameer mentioned that he has scenes with Sabeena that are yet to come. So, Ghaffars track and its progression would probably be relevant somehow. I personally find it interesting, because we get to see such varying dynamics between various marriages. There's Haji Sahab and Barbeena of course, there's the young couple that live downstairs, there's Adnan Shah tips character n his wife, and then there's ghaffar n chammo. All very real and raw, and immaculately written.

Exactly he is the one who is going to reveal the true identity of buzdak, and than he’s going to take baran to pindi. Its clear from a scene where barbina first see baran and Ghaffar can be clearly seen in the background.

Hasan needs to watch Kabuli pulao with more attention if he is questioning Ghaffar's track. Ghaffar is the reason Haji sahab is on the road and left his house. so this track is pretty relevant

Ghaffar made haji sahab to leave the house
And he knew Haji will not come back so he used his absence and started the story of brand new car requirement.

The point of Ghaffar and Chammo' s track is to show a contrast between a healthy marriage and toxic marriage. It's also a contrast between Chammo and Barbeena as a woman. Barbeena despite all her crisis in her life is a strong woman, with self-respect, values and integrity. While chammo likes to be in a situation of self pity, and no self worth. Her elder sister does try to put some sense into her in one of the previous episodes to be patient, to show some self respect and don't throw herself to Ghaffar who basically doesn't deserve her. But she doesn't listen. And she wants to be in a toxic relationship and that's why she is letting Ghaffar treat her that way.
Haji sahib has left her sister, coz he wants to protect Barbeena from Ghaffar's cheap personality. Haji Sahib has always helped his family. But now he has another responsibility and that is of Barbeena. Now it's upto Chammo to stand up on her feet and decide what she wants for herself

JAM: I agree with Amina - I wouldn't like my partner reading in bed, when its time for us to go to sleep together. If they really want to, they can go out. But it's not normal couple behavior. Normally sleep time is time together... to discuss the day, have some pillowtalk, and go to sleep... :) and especially if one of the two has an early morning and can't sleep with the light on. She just seems a bit weird and was oddly antisocial in the "social" event. It didn't make sense that she's left her partner out of conversations and does not even make an effort to keep everyone together and keep the conversation light. Yes - roastable drama...happy that another one came up!

For me Gaffar's plot is important for Haji Mushtaq's return, with or without Barbeena. It has shown 2 major character developments - 1. Now Shamim seems more than just a one sided lover. She understands and supports Haji Mushtaq even in his absence. She acted in Haji Mushtaq's stead for the family. Haji Mushtaq's lover is indeed Barbeena her but Shamim is undeniably his soulmate.
    2. Chammo's blind love for Gaffar may shift. She is no longer as vocal and confident as she was before watching a prostitute coming out. Her hostility towards Haji Mushtaq and Barbeena may reduce or increase, depending on her sensibility.

I do that for myself and I would leave the room if I want to read. The work scenario I didn’t get as well- she’s way over about it. The jewelry isnt a big deal. The sis has good points but isn’t carrying it well. And last but not least- Natasha’s future Mother-in-law shouldn’t be joking as such. So far Natasha has been behaving very well I was expecting crazy chaos the moment she got married to Sherry.

KP: Hassan and Amina for me Ghaffar’s track is as important as Haji Mushtaq’s and Barbeena’s. We all know it’s regressive and I don’t want you guys to tell us how regressive it is or how good Saqib is. I want you to discuss the the mental situation of Shammo. Her brothers especially Haji sahab won’t even say anything to her if she gets divorce from him. Even Qayyum didn’t force her to go to his house. She herself has gone to him. I want to know why she is being this stupid because i have seen women around me do this stuff even though they have supportive parents. What’s the thought process of her? Is she in love with him and so madly that she doesn’t see how bad he is? Or is it the fear of not having a child so she just wants to cling on to this guy because it would be extremely hard for her to marry again? The things Ghaffar do is bone chilling and i know some guys who actually do this. I am amazed that Zafar Mairaj has wrote his character really well. He comes, brings food and tells her that this is for you. Then suddenly he takes out the guns.

  • @nasira908
    @nasira908 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    Hi,
Regarding Hassan’s question about Ghaffar and chammo characters, this track is very important for the story progression.
Haji Mushtaq left his house because of Ghaffar’s demands and to protect his sister’s home that turns out to be crucial for the relationship between haji mushtaq and barberna.
The way they consummate their marriage and having a romantic relationship in their own place could never be possible in their family home. Director also showed different character aspects of haji Mushtaq like singing in that setting. With Baraan coming back, it was crucial to develop a strong relationship between haji Mushtaq and Barbeena first to have a strong love triangle.
So that migration was created because of chammo and Ghaffar conflict. And now when chammo will realise the ugly nature of his husband she will ask haji Mushtaq to come back.
But this time they will come back home as a loving couple and with baraan already there, love triangle with develop.

Just came to talk about JAM… enjoyed your roasting. But jokes aside, I don’t want it to be lost HOW abusive emotionally and psychologically Sherry and Natashas attitudes are. what Alizeh is going through can only be understood if one goes through such an abusive relationship. So please try not yo downplay that . She seems annoying to you. But she isn’t. She’s a smart woman with a passion for her career and it’s part of her identity. That doesn’t mean that she won’t show her respect and love language for father-in-law by cooking for him.
I understand your closet organizing standards and she may have high standards too. But if you look at the big picture, aren’t there more important things going on that are higher priority at this part of her life. Plus she came into a new house and wasn’t even welcomed by saying , “here is your space… on the bed, in the closet etc. I emptied this space for your things”. All the talk she is facing is what she can’t do and where she can’t put her stuff. Why is she expected to space out his clothes hangers when it hasn’t even been one week. Not to mention, he didn’t even take any time to sit down and have a meaningful conversation with her or ask what her likes/dislikes are. All he wants to do is stare at her pretty face .

The Gaffar track could be a means to an end. To prepare the audience to accept Haji and Shamim together in the end. He sacrificed and left home for his sister's marriage. And Shamim sacrificed also to save his sister's marriage (by selling all her jewelry that she may have saved for her own marriage. It was clear she said it was repaying a loan, so they wouldn't refuse and she explicitly referred to Chammo's problems as well). If Barbeena has to go with Baraan in the end, then the audience has to come to point where they go.. yes, Shamim deserves to be with Haji.

On the other side she had this young age love interest with an immature guy who weren’t groomed by any means.
Barbina had now seen the world outside her circle and is well impressed by men like Haji Saab so I personally think he is all in all in love with Haji Saab and baran is just a pleasant memory and it’s so realistic that she isn’t depressed n crying over her past .

Hi Amna! Re Juno ruining your sofas, you can buy 4-5 scratching posts and dot them around the house. Train him to use them by using treats to encourage the scratch post using behaviour. Doing this will allow him to scratch hi scratching posts and not the sofas. Thats what we have done with our Maano. Hope you read this comment as its very helpful.

Jhok Sarkar: You guys just can't come out of Peeral's bedroom right?! 😁 And then you say you want good content...So I disagree. It was an interesting episode. I don't think Iqbal died. And honestly ASP ko aamad to nahi aegi na so quickly ki Meeral will take him to the desert. This is his first case in Jhok Sial. He will investigate first. And he cannot arrest Meeral directly. He does not have direct proofs. And in ASP and Jahan Dad scene, JD is talking about trust in this investigation, not in the daily bearings. Petrol scam is part of the latter. I partly agree on the scene at Peeral's house, but my wishful thinking wants to believe that scene may not have gotten noticed because it was shot in slow motion. By the way did you guys notice the first signs of aggression shown by ASP when he pressed his danda on Mukhtar. Maybe he was just triggered after seeing her...
The only thing I have felt after watching the drama so far was, this Shaukat mystery is the central plot for the police in the drama. I think they could have kept this as the main case, but there could have been few more side cases too.

Hello 🙂, #KabliPulao: I agree the Gaffar track is very uncomfortable, but maybe it is to bring out the double standards of the society, that if the husband and wife are of the compatible ages, then also serious issues like domestic violence is so fine and acceptable. Whereas a couple with so much age gap and still respecting and staying cordially together, is seen in a negative light. Just my opinion.

Also to add that track is important to know trigger point when relationship is not working it’s best to come out of it. But society made it so difficult for woman to come out of such relationships. Mostly drama shows it’s woman who keep relationships entact but what to do in such situations as shown in kabli pulao. These part is important for awareness & women empowerment on thought levels.

Amna and Hassan!!!! both of you need to go back to episode 7 and start watching it again. Don't have any distractions, don't watch it on x2, and don't forward any part.
The only reason why hajji saab has left his family home is to protect Barbina from Ghaffar and to save his sister's marriage because she made it evident that she can not live without him.
Gaffar lied, haji sab did not promiss him any car. Ghaffar just took advantage of the situation.
You missed out on the Most important dialogue I think you fast forward the Ghaffar track, when Ghaffar's wife sees her bed after seeing a call girl leaving she says to him" ab yahan roz aik nai larki atti hai?" And he replied ," nahi, roz aik hi larki atti hai," Barbeena".
That was such a chilling reply, and the look on Ghaffar's face was disturbing!!
Gffar's track and all problems that hajji saab is going through is because of him. He left because of him, and still Ghaffar ko chain nahi a raha.
I don't know how you can miss such an important fundamental plot point.
I suggest pls go back to episode 7 watch it at normal speed, enjoy the dialogues, and it will all make sense to you.
Jis behen ki khatir he left the comfort of his home, his loving family she is still suffering and not because of Haji sab but because she so badly wants to be with Ghaffar. I don't know why??? But she does, and she is suffering.
For me, it's a very important track.

On the issue of marriage annulment .There is a difference between a man presumed dead vs missing but alive .In the former case some schools of thought say marriage is annulled straight away whereas others say that it is annuled after a waiting period of 2 years .However in the latter case where the person is alive but missing the maximum waiting period is much longer but there as well a woman can get it annulled from a religious figurehead if she doesnt want to wait

I disagree with your perception about Faqeera. He is extremely pampered by women around him all his life. The kind of women like Jindo who protected him from expressing his reckelessness all his life and did it for him, hence his reluctance behind initating anything daring. Even Shano who dots at Faqeera's every move. This is the reason he never said no to marry as per Jindo's order and according to his perception has the same relationship with Shano who forgave him for marrying someone else just like that.
Thas kind of innocent and carefree entitlement that Faqeera's character has, is much more layered. The kind of Faqeera you saw in Sheher was the exact same pampered kid, those women have made. That is the reason he so wishes to bring his Bhano and sister to city next time. An average man would have been worried to bring women to such a city jahan sarkon py phirna parta e, kabhi b police pakar ky ly jati e. Faqeera is not poorly written, rather a very nuanced character.
I really hope it reaches you.
