I'm a Vietnam vet. I went when my country called me to duty. Why did the country hate us when we cam back.
Coming back from Viet Nam was hell here in our country, I am an old man now at age 72, but the hell of Viet Nam never leaves my mind.. The hell and nightmares of that wasted war never goes away, from us vets. To all my BROTHERS OUT THERE..I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH.

When I was a kid in Afghanistan I told myself that I was going to Join Military in U.S but I never thought that I would get a chance to move to America now here I am in U.S waiting until it's 2024 so I can join the USMC

Now imagine the past's antagonist as your best support in a conflict against China. Vietnam may very well be the linchpin of the whole damn region.
That actually happened though. shortly after the Vietnam War, China launched a military invasion of Vietnam, sacked a few cities, lost a lot of people, and decided they’d made their point and withdrew.

Its unbelievable to me how such technological advanced and militarily superior force could lose in such a way and then repeat the same in Afghanistan?
Vietnam was lost specifically because the Secretary of Defense was overconfident in technology and didn’t accept evidence he was wrong. I consider it one of the greatest crimes of that war that he wasn’t hung as a war criminal.
That, and the most corrupt president of the 20th century, Lyndon Johnson, had no idea how to wage a war, and didn’t step in to correct McNamera’s decisions, but was more focused on seeing the United States completely destroy itself.
