  • Andrew Neeme, Brad Owen, Jaman Burton, Jeff Boski and I got together at Stones Gambling Hall for some $5/5 poker action. The straddle was on for the majority of the game and chips were flying.
    Thank you to Stones Gambling Hall for providing a great show and format for presenting poker.

    Hey, Johnnie. Just wanted to say "thank you so much" for these awesome vlogs. I got an opportunity to see some great vacations in Mexico, some cool djing experiences at your wife's yoga classes, and a glimpse into your life beyond the felt. I'm thinking of taking a look at what is outside poker, so I don't know when I can check this blog next. How long? I'm not sure. I just want to see what life is like beyond the tables, too, ya know? Take care! Your personality really shines in this format. Best of luck. Positive vibes.

    Johnny man, thank you so much for all the awesome work you do.
    I had a really bad session where I played for 9hrs and ran up my stack to a little over 3 buy ins and lost it all on nut flush vs straight flush to the only guy on the table who had me covered and had been playing crazy. On the way home which is like a 1hr drive I was pretty crushed as this was a make or break session for my bankroll and amidst feeling sorry for myself about how unlucky I am and how much I hate poker and wallowing in pitty I had a Johnny vibes moment where I was just like, "Fuck this! Pick yourself up kid!".
    And I completely turned around how I was thinking and began thinking about all of the positives from the session which was actually one of my best by far for making plays and nailing hand ranges which got me my stack in the first place.
    If it wasnt for your macau video I probably would have a bad taste in my mouth for a few days from that session but by the end of my drive home I already felt like I won.
    Keep up the great work man ✊

      He desperately wanted to beat me in a hand, likely because I’m a Vlogger, likely cause he wanted to show off on the live stream. On your K8 hand. You checked the flop understood. And you called his turn bet obviously. My question is if you had top set of kings and you still checked flop, would you raise turn when opponents turn lead can represent s&f draws, or do you still smooth call ?

    • @justinhart7172
      @justinhart7172 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Correction. You had K6

    • @JohnnieVibes
      @JohnnieVibes  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Still call. But now that I think about there is some merit to shoving mostly because of how much of his stack is already in the pot. If the turn was a Queen that brought a possible flush draw I would have shoved with my K6. I think I play KK the same as K6 in this spot.

    • @justinhart7172
      @justinhart7172 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a good point cuz the turn here didn’t bring any f draws. But interesting that you would shove the k6 just like you would top set in this scenario if the turn had brought a flush draw

    Hey Johney,
    Nice run.. Some of the credit is all yours... You seem to always be right when ranging opponents.. I could get serious learning curve from watching spots where you make difficult folds... I watch Brad Owens Vlog and I have the same comment there... Permission to make an analogy ? You learn more about a person when they are running bad in the game of life than when good... Much of that has to hold true on the felt... What do you think ?

    Damn Johnnie crushed souls in that game. Just by looking at who did and didn't show up in these hand histories should tell you who the other stronger players were at this table. The results of one session aside, I think Johnnie was the best player at this table every time he sits down in this lineup. Neeme/Brad/Jaman are the next tier of players in this game, and you notice that they almost never showed up in any of the hand histories. It really looked like 2-3 fish that decided to donate to Johnnie all night. Still a great session, and Johnnie just ran all over the table.

      I had never met him. Tbh the only person I’m friends with is Zedd and I’ve only known him for about a year now. Anton told me he was a really great guy tho. I’ve been to multiple shows and I was for sure a fan of his. My wife and I shed a few tears the moment we found out. We had a lot of great memories attached to Avicii shows and his songs.

      JohnnieVibes both my youngest daughter and I had seen him. He was amazing. Very sad to see such a great, intuitive, talent gone so young.

    This session illustrates clearly that we win the most money not due to our great play but as a result of the mistakes from opponents.

      Jerry Lopez playing great helps for sure, but it's pretty obvious that no one knew how to play 3 bet pots and Johnny was torturing them for it.
      No idea what the guy w/ 44 was doing cold calling a raise, calling the 4 bet and not calling off on Q83 getting 4:1. Was he set mining? That's just free money.

      Theres a fine line between ego and confidence... that intro was just pure ego. People with vlogs generally have some type of ego or seek attention deep down.
