I just saw a video with someone feeding their huge female salmon pink birdeater a 2 inch crayfish. That tarantula demolished the crayfish claws and all.
They really are confused when introducing horn worms to their diet not quite like a Dubia or cricket or mealworms think the mass of the prey isn't something they are used to still awesome vid as always 😁
If you feed after midnight they will all be out. They hunt at night work a try they might be more into it

i think i like spiders because when i was like 2 or 3 i watched spider-man all day everyday and i wanted to be spider-man so i wasn’t afraid of spiders and wanted to find a radioactive spider. XD i miss those days....
I adore spiders, we have a house full of the daddy long legs, small house spiders, occasional wolf spiders. My 8yr old son loves spiders very much also and his younger brother, which is 7yrs old now, he loves the love bugs, so cute. I think my favorites would have to be the jumping spiders, but I still am fascinated by all other spiders as well. I've caught green lynx spiders, one with the spines all over, spiny orb spiders. Had a cute corn snake few months back decided to come into the house, probably was trying to get out from the rain or away from all the black racers we have, that like to eat them. So now my 17yr daughter has him for a pet, named him snake in German, Schlange. :) My 8yr old wants a pet Tarantula, but I kinda just like observing, some catch and release, not really a keep animals as a pet kinda person, love to watch them in nature more.

I have a baby jumping I found in my house and I’ve had him for almost a year and I feed him baby mealworms and it’s really cool when I feed him because he tackles them and then runs of with it he also recently multed

I have no idea how i’ve wound up in this community/corner of youtube because I have the NASTIEST phobia of really all bugs but particularly spiders, but i imagine it’s the same morbid curiosity that brings me to horror movies even though i’m a total wheenie. If you have nightshade in the vicinity (hornworms favorite food) it WILL kill whatever you feed it to.

I am so afraid of spiders. Like, I forced my husband to turn off a Coyote Peterson video of him handling a black widow because I was having panic attacks. Buuuuut I clicked on the video you made when you got the jumping spiders and the trapdoor and while I was about five nanoseconds away from screaming and hiding under my desk, I managed to watch the whole thing and was happy I did! And then this video was adorable (with a surprise mantis!!!!! I love mantids). You make spiders so accessible, I think because there's no bravado - even when animal handlers go "ohhh this is a doozy you better be careful!" there's always this undercurrent of badassery that makes those shows more spectacle than anything else. Like it's super nice to see even someone like you who keeps these animals as pets can get jumpy around them. Like for reals jumpy not just dramatic-music-ohmygod-did-you-see-that-i-almost-DIED ratings bait jumpy. I guess what I'm saying is you're so genuine and I am so happy TH-cam's algorithm completely misconstrued my interests and suggested that first video I saw because I do like to learn about spiders and see them, but I guess I never appreciated how reality show bombast played into my anxiety. Subscribed!

You can fees horn worms to rats if they accept it! I feed mine dried meal worms and they love them! Wouldn't recommend roaches as they'll probably just escape the cage into your home

This is so cool. I love watching spiders & tarantulas hunt, building Homes, & mating behavior.. I'd be far too freaked out to keep them as pets tho!
Damn so many of these tarantulas are really calm compared to what I'm used to seeing on TH-cam, I should have been using this channel to help get over my fear of arachnids lol. it would be so much easier than being jump scared by Exotic Lairs ones constantly.
