Sooooo here with you with the "good girl" thing. Like I'll be reading a book, and it will be dropped in there radomly, and yet the male lead 1. doesn't give off this kind of vibe whatsoever at any point, 2. doesn't check with his partner if it's something they are into. There's no context except the smut/spice, it feels to me like it's "expected" because "everyone is into it". Weirdly enough, it feels like it's not "earned" and it's poorly motivated. And all of this ramdomness really emphasize the infantilization, with sometimes a hint of talking to your partner like their your dog kinda vibe.
🧛♂🧛♂🧛♂ omg mads!!! yes!!! interview with the vampire has been my obsession since it aired in 2022 and made me read the books (i'm 8 books in) and read AT ALL because i didn't read before 2022 and yes!!! they're an amazing adaptation fixing all the issues anne rice had with her stuff lol but maintaining the gothic f'ed up essence so well. also about tropes... i HATE that a person being conflicted between two people is called a love triangle. that's a love arrow. in a love triangle EVERYBODY IS F*CKING! lmao
i truly don't understand the attachment to him!! to be fair, i read the s&b series many years after i fell in love with the six of crows characters but his sob story has never impressed me especially since his intentions were always to use alinas powers for literal gen0cide??
I'm for asking this, as you may be tired of similar questions, but can you explain the situation with Brandon Sanderson? I’ve only seen people recommend his books and that his series are quite popular, but now you have me confused. Surely, it’s not just because he’s white and rich (as you said, I personally have no clue about him), there must be something else he has done or said, right?
all good! he’s a major supporter of the mormon church and has previously said some incredibly awful things about the LGTBQIA community. he has since retracted those statements but i don’t feel comfortable supporting someone who is still part of that institution.
I agree, I hate when main characters say Good Girl to a woman. It is demeaning, immature, and dismissive. Right along with calm down.
it’s so weird!!! i’m so over it!!!
I watched Interview with a Vampire on Netflix
yep it was added recently!

hahaha yes!!! i need more accurate love triangles!! everyone has to be in love with EVERYONE!!
I also honestly think rhe darkling (in both the show and books) is soooo 2d like he does not feel like a full character/person at all to me
