Constructive review lang po Sir William based on my ordered Alama. Sana ma-improve nyo pa yong fretwork and string spacing. In my case, to be honest a bit disappointing na yong ginamit na fretwire is smaller size, either parang pang nylon string or ukelele. Mine is a steel string. I am not sure if this is a quality control issue na maybe baka yong nag-install ng fretwires thought pwede kahit anung size. Smaller fretwire for a steel string requires more finger pressure kaya masyadong nakakafatigue. You need to press more to get clear note and avoid buzzing. Refret cost a lot and not to mention the delicate nutshell fingerboard. Although dapat nacommunicate ito sa initial stage kasi baka most people thought you will use the modern standard fretsize. Second po, yong string spacing hindi balance. Yong akin mas wide ang spacing between 3rd and 4th string probably to cater (makita/ma-center) yong inlays. Aesthetically I dont mine if that is the case okay sana. Kaso for players who sometime uses one finger to press 3rd and 4th string to have extra finger for an added note, this is important. And its too obvious talaga na sa nut filing and bridge pin hole, talagang pina-wide yong space between 3rd and 4th, at yon lang yong nakikita kung reason (that is para ma-centro ang inlay between 3rd and 4th string. Lastly po, yong outer strings (1st and 6th string) from the fingerboard edge, hindi sya balance. As you go to higher frets, mas lalong nag-wiwide. Probably this is because yong string spacing hole sa saddle is makipot and hindi nakabalance sa fret edges. Or yong size ng fret board is wider at higher fret at hindi na balance sa string spacing. Dapat, whatever string distance from nut ganun din sana as you go to higher frets (7-12 fret). At sana wag masyadong wide yong distance. Kung ang reason ng wide distance is to avoid string slippage, pwede naman ireduce ang slant ng fret bevels para hindi mag slip yong string. String distance fretboard edge is important for player who like to use thumb on 6th string. Otherwise, all others okay na okay yong craftmanship at tunog. Pero kung baka sa kotse, ang tigas ng clutch kaya dimo masyadong na-enenjoy i-drive..🙏😊

@@alamaguitars5693 The fretwire was actually highlighted to you Sir William. but I think you reason out na using bigger wire will cause intonation issue. Agree ako dyan but the intonation issue will come if you press harder to the point na mag-sharp yong note dahil masyadong nakapress yong string. Even smaller fret can sometimes cause intonation issue pag masyadong idiin. The preferrence of having bigger frets kasi is para light tough lang para hindi masyadong fatigue sa kamay. Eto rin yata yong one reason why modern guitar builders now uses medium size. Ang hindi ko alam if kung anu standard fretwire size gamit nyo for your builds but sa item ko, talagang maliit compared sa mga modern steel strings ngayon. Para sa akin, if you are using smaller frets for your standard build, dapat ihighlight ito at initial stage kasi modern steel string guitars now I think uses medium. And this was my expectation. I am sure hindi ito medium. Ang theory ko is may miscommunication sa fretwork, maybe mistakenly though it was for a nylon string kasi 12-fretter sya. Sad lang na when this was addressed to you, I was not offered a solution. I understand, biggest factor kasi yong shipping cost kung isend ulit. Pero either way, if maling size yong nalagay or if ito talaga yong standard size na gamit nyo na hindi naman na-highlight sa initial stage, sana nagawan ng paraan kasi sayang yong ganda tunog ng build nyo Sir. Si-nide by side ko ito with lower series Martin(12 series pababa sa laminate series nila) at lower series Taylor ( GS mini pababa like academy series), mas gusto ko parin tunog nito. But I was force to lower to 11's string gauge(silk coated pa) just to accomodate lesser force for longer play. Kung naka medium sana ito, mas magiging round yong tunog at mas hindi fatigue sa kamay. Of course, the other issues, hindi ko na namention sayo dati kasi there is no point kung hindi naman masolusyonan.

@@alamaguitars5693 So sir anung fretwire size ang standard gamit nyo just to confirm na my item was installed with the proper Alama standard size for steel string? Again this is not something to pull down your craft, but rather a just call for a better explanation why I was not given an option to resolve the issue it was brought. I dont mean to belittle your research, I am no luthier. But if using small fretwire was part of it, wonder why modern builders shifted to bigger frets since 90s pa ata. At a price point above 50K and with all this issues, it was really disappointing.
