It really feels weird for a band likd them to change, but, since they're 3 albums away from ending it all, i understand, and think that they conveyed it very clearly in spotify, they want to be different, do other style of music, and i think thats fine. They're capable of making art pieces of albums like everyday life, or magnum opus like coloratura, they just choose to be different, dont really think theyre beeing greedy, just different.

The real Coldplay is the flawed one that made Music of the Spheres, not the one that make absolute classics constantly with no drastic genre changes or flops. What you are referring to is the ideal Coldplay.
Man, as a longtime Coldplay fan, this just feels too cringy to me. It saddens me. I love every one of their albums up to Everyday Life, but this is nothing compared to the depth or songwriting of years past. Theres just no substance to their music anymore. This is comparing to even A Head Full Of Dreams, Mylo Xlyoto, Ghost Stories (I love GS). It just sucks to see. I wish them the best and hope the new album turns out great, but I dont quite see that happening.
