हवा से तो कोई फर्क नहीं है पर अगर पानी अंदर आ सकता है तो wood floor mat lagayega। Waise wood floor bahoot achchi hoti hai।

Not a good idea. Now leave atleast 2 inches gap in all sides. The gap can be covered using corner beeding. Dont nail the planks and side beeding.

For stairs we can use laminate wooden flooring which you can install over your existing floor.
You can get wooden step and riser as well.

Why bother using wood in floor. It is better to use laminated wooden flooring.
If u really want to use wood it should be properly treated, seasoned.

I think not to do anything except fan, mop and placing few newspaper and keep changing them till it absorbes most of the water.
