I just wanna say, Regan, that i’m from Brazil and i have been watching your videos and following you for sooo many years now, and you’ve always been and continue to be one of my favorite book influencers (both here and instagram), even with my taste in books changing! I love the way you describe the books, just wanted to put this out there, love you 🥰😘
Christopher Moore’s books are a trip and a half! Definitely stands out from other books in its crazy plots and humor. My favorite one is A Dirty Job. I hope you enjoy your reading experience with Moore!
The way you are booktube to me and every recommendation I 2000% trust comes from you! I’m afraid of watching your wrap ups because my TBR and Amazon cart 🛒 get scary 😂😂🫶🏼 I rarely comment on your videos but I just want to say you are such a blessing to Booktube! I have been following you since I was a teenager and I trust your reading taste 1000% ❤
I binged Once Upon a Broken Heart series in days after you recommended the first one. I adored it and was so happy that my bookstore had the UK covers (I live in Korea) because they were impossible to find online here.
Ohhh I loved the Ballad of Never After so much, was in my top 3. I just finished book 3 and now I want to find more books in the same style/theme. Have my eye on A Fragile Enchantment next.
I haven’t read Happiness Falls yet, but I did read Miracle Creek and it was so fantastic. More of a legal drama/thriller. Super excited to pick up Happiness Falls because Angie Kim is a wonderful author!
i just finished OUABH recently, as my first book in my reading journey! i just started the 2nd book, and i dented the cover by bringing it with me to school during exam week a few days ago when i've only read 5 pages and it itches me sm!! i didnt even get to read it that day 😭
I read A Dirty Job and its sequel, by Christopher Moore. I found them to be hilarious and clever, so I'd definitely be curious to hear your thoughts on Fool!
I bought Blood over Brigth Haven to, because i loved the Sword of Kaigen . I also bought The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires on a whim...part because of your videos, i love the cover, the book not so much 😂
Ohhh you'll love Blood over Bright Haven. Also, yes, I'm writing it for the third time, but please look into Veronica Speedwell series 😅 the romance pacing there is gorgeous!
I love me some Saunders but I would recommend Tenth of December over Liberation Day. Can't go wrong either way but in my opinion, Tenth of December is much stronger!
Since I know that you enjoy mystery in your fantasy and a romantasy that is well balanced, I have a recommendation for you : The Last Binding trilogy by Freya Markse (first book being Marvellous Light). It is a queer trilogy with a british historical setting (1920s I believe) that is 1/3 Fantasy, 1/3 Romance, 1/3 mystery. And a certain humor to it.
hey regan!! while you're hauling books, i thought i would recommend the "song of silver, flame like night" duology by amelie wen zhao!!(the sequel is "dark star burning, ash falls white" and i love these poetic titles). 1st of all, the covers are absolutely STUNNING, 2nd of all, its a ya fantasy inspired by chinese mythology & folklore, and the writing & pacing of this book is SO GOOD. it also features a bittersweet romance and intriguing main & side characters, and i feel like you would really like it!! i know you didn't like daughter of the moon goddess, (which is another asian fantasy with a stunning cover) but you might really like this one cos it was so well written and the sequel just came out in early january, so you'd be able to marathon it if you like the 1st one!! it's one of my fave books of 2023, i loved it so much but it seems so underrated on booktube (i've only seen elliot brookes talk about it on her channel). i dont know if you'll see this, but i just wanted to put this book on your radar in case you haven't heard of it, and wanted to check it out! 😄
@@freeinfiction well...I am constantly telling my boyfriend and my family about ALL THOSE INTERESTING BOOKS I would love to read, hoping they will just buy it for me, not really what I am intending with that book buying ban and also not very promising....it's just so hard hahah🥲
Oh I DNF the Inheritance Games. I did not think it lived up to the hype at all. It's more about a "Mary Sue" type character who all these handsome boys seem to fancy for no discernible reason. Terrible.
no one is talking about this is a weird read! more than a lit fic novel, the first half felt like an essay on internet culture and and pop culture criticism, then the other half was like a fever dream
@@missmarymac4432 nothing wrong with what Regan said at all! I just thought the phrasing on the back of the book was curious, it would be easier and more inclusive if they’d written “people”

Ballad of never after is soo good! Best one in the series imo
I think I’m going to marathon the rest soon!

Christopher Moore’s books are a trip and a half! Definitely stands out from other books in its crazy plots and humor. My favorite one is A Dirty Job. I hope you enjoy your reading experience with Moore!

The cover of the last book looks like a pad with wings 😁
I haven't even watched the video and I died at this comment😂😂
Fun haul! Have you read Station Eleven or anything from Emily St.John Mandel? Would love to hear your thoughts 🤍
I love me some Saunders but I would recommend Tenth of December over Liberation Day. Can't go wrong either way but in my opinion, Tenth of December is much stronger!
the reasons that Hild sounds intriguing to you makes me think you'd love Matrix by Lauren Groff!

I LOVE THE FINAL GAMBIT BOOOOOOOOKS
What bookstore/website do you use to buy books from the UK? I used to buy them from Book Depository, but they no longer exist.
I have Opinions about Plain Bad Heroines. I look forward to hearing yours.

Your description of Inheritance games almost made me forget how bad it was🤣

Ah yes, but the original Imperial Radch trilogy covers make one continuous image when you put them together 😎🚀
Omg omg omg this is vital new information

What is wrong with what she said?

Ah yes, contributing to over-consumerism!
ONE Chanel purse costs more money than an affluent booktuber spends on books in an entire year.
You could watch those hauls instead.
