We need to try hoe, shovel, axe, sword, shears, trident, flint and steel. Or try burning or exploding it. Or maybe pushing with a piston ? If any works to end the trial faster or if you have other suggestion comment it
If they commit to making villager enchantment trades biome dependent, then the loot from the trial chambers would be good to allow easy access to enchants. You just don’t get to choose which ones
Yeah, and what I absolutely love is that it's all datapack-customizable. If you decide the trial chamber is too easy / doesn't give good enough rewards, you can change the loot tables (and I think the mobs in the spawners) with no mods and just a few lines of JSON.
I don't think anyone pointed that out but copper is gonna be so much easier to get now, you can just mine the blocks. It's even more broken with the waxed blocks, i never cared enough to make a bee farm and now you can just mine waxed copper in the trial chamber
Copper is already over abundant. How much copper is out there to mine genuinly upsets me. You get soooooo much copper but there's virtually nothing to do with it. I hate copper...
But, because modded minecraft, the concept is a bit older than you think. Ever heard of the Blitz? Thermal expansion had that all the way back in 1.7 and is basically a wind and lightning elemental.

I think it’s good that the spawners are breakable but not to cheese the trial chamber. That allows people to remove them for world eaters, creative projects, etc. I’d love to see the chambers be harder. It seems like a mid-game focused thing, so it should be doable but not easy with iron and maybe some diamonds, and not many enchantments.

I'd be shocked if they didn't fix the friendly-fire issue by the time 1.21 launched. I just hope they don't just globally make skellies smart enough to not friendly-fire other hostile mobs.

I think the reason the spawners are still breakable but just really tough is so that after you fight through you can theoretically make a mob farm and get rid of the spawners you don't need/want, but they still take long enough to to break that you can't cheese your way through it at first and do have to actually fight through the chamber at least once.

It would be slower than a mob farm using a regular spawner, but would also provide additional drops since it gives rewards every time it enters cooldown, and they spawn in clusters as well which can speed things up.
I’m worried that if you’re making some kind of underground base and you accidentally run into the trial chambers, you’ll have to clear out all of the spawners in the way of your building 💀
If it were me, I'd be like: *zomg free oxidized copper.* I also bet if you do the math, the 4m it takes to break a spawner just offsets the time you're *not* spending clearing out the deepslate that would have been there otherwise.
This dungeon being modular pretty much means Mojang added a rougelike mode into the game, though it's very very barebones lol. They definitely should add special buffs/debuffs to these areas to make it more interesting

This reminds me of the Terraria dungeon so much, having to navigate through an old structure deep underground to fight monsters, being rewarded with keys and loot for killing them... Edit: Plus both structures are the only way to see a certain type of block spawn naturally. In Terraria the dungeons are the only places you find dungeon bricks, and in Minecraft they're the only place you find naturally spawning copper blocks.
I'm a big fan of the breeze. They feel like the first mob in Minecraft that has movement shooter type movement. It feels like an Ultrakill enemy in the best possible way.

This update shows they can update old dungeons to be something beautiful with actually decent structure like that one youtuber (Im so sorry i forgot their name) showcased when they made different kinds of dungeons for each biome and mob etc.
i think becuse the breez is some kind off a cool / chill version of the blaze that is clearly inspired by the "blizz" or "blitz" mob from thermal foundation mod of the termal series, and the mod's first version is for 1.7.10 and uploaded to the curse-forge website at the 4th of march, 2017 . and from this point i can estimate that the breeze is about 6.5 years old in real life years, or about 481 minecraft years old
the breeze and the blizz/blitz are not similar tho, they only have a passing visual similarity but functionally are not remotely close, so you cannot use the age of the blizz/blitz as the age of the breeze (because if you would, you could just as well use the age of the blaze, they have about the same similarities anyway, since blizz/blitz is just a retextured blaze, while breeze is functionally very different)

I think the spawner block should take, like, 2 minutes to break. Just in case you're digging a big hole that has to be empty and need to remove it. It's too hard otherwise. But I like the high destruction resistance.
I get that these mega dungeons are cool, but you can't deny that they will be the meta for getting lots of copper. Also Mojang just announced they are publishing an official community server list (for Java and Bedrock, and servers must comply with EULA). I think that's pretty big but I haven't seen people talking about it, idk why.

Everybody's talking about the Trial Chambers and its Difficulty, but is nobody going to talk about why the hell trying to break the Trial Spawner sounds like a Pan being constantly hit onto a table by a Mexican Grandma?
The fact that these structures are basically made out of solid copper rules out any chance that Mojang is gonna add more functions to copper. Otherwise this would be OP and they’d have to rework this dungeon with different materials which would take 45 seconds but I don’t see them doing that. Copper is just gonna remain as the most useless resource ever
I think the reason the trial spawner is inconvenient to mine is so that you don’t break it to stop other players from using it, but if you really need it out of the way it’s possible just inconvenient
Fun thing you can do with the trial Chambers is that you can in Port or download an SCP mod , and make a little bit of a site and then work your way from there so basically all Minecraft just did is added a little structure for me to build an SCP site on 😂
Finally someone competent at pvp reviewing these structures. Too many TH-camrs in full iron armor be dieing to skeletons. Also where are the fancy piston doors in these structures. That would be a cool way to go from section to section.
Minecraft should have trial chambers come in multiple sizes, the larger they are, the rarer, but the smallest should have the same spawn rate as dungeons
I think that the trial chambers are an awesome structure, and In my opinion, is really just for fun. The loot may be good, but that is kind of just a bonus in my opinion. If you just hold up your shield the whole time like you showcased, you are missing out on a lot of fun.
Blaze for fire, breeze for wind. If mojang would maintain this pattern of using "B" as first letter for elemental mobs, I can't wait for earth to be Brick and water to be Bubble or something
I’m pretty sure I remember reading a patch note that said the trial spawner had the same breaking function as Reinforced Deepslate. They take a very long time to break and no matter what tool you use to break them, they will always take the same amount of time.
My hopes for this update: - balancing the spawners “infinite loot” system by having them break somehow after a certain amount of times they dispense loot or by having the loot be worth less and less the more it’s grinded without breaks in-between? - balancing the breeze to be less of an annoyance and more of an enemy - the stone chests and pots coming back in the ancient cities 🙏 (maybe those sculk jaw traps can even come back????? Please Mojang??? It would be so cool) - some variation in the trial chambers such as ones overgrown by sculk or dripstone, or ones that are very old and show their weathering - loot balancing in the chests. They aren’t super difficult so end city-esc loot is a bit much, especially in rooms where it spawns weak enemies like regular zombies and spiders. - maybe some sort of tier system to their rooms where harder mobs can spawn such as husks with armor and weapons, spiders with potion effects like on hard mode or skeletons with more arrow variants such as harming, flame or knock back. - some sort of team system where the enemies have a chance to never be able to attack each other - some more movement based rooms such as lava/cobweb floors or pointed dripstone pits and parkour based challenges - also there’s no reason for the spawners to be so unbreakable. I understand them wanting to be durable but it’s kinda unreasonable they’re that strong. What if I wanna make my house in a trial chamber? I know it’s asking a lot but these could turn out SO promising! 🤩
I think some diamond gear with weak enchants are a solid reward for clearing these. If it's just iron gear, I'm not sure most players would bother. Of cource the rates of diamond gear might need to be adjusted, but I think it being present in general is a good thing.
I think instead of dropping gear dropping random unenchanted iron gear with a high frequency of powerful books is the better move post villagers having biome specific enchants this will be a neat way to supplement that and make getting enchants mire active rather than setting up a farm.
The dungeons seem very cool in concept (though I dont like the copper style ... so much orange and green) I would hope they would make the look more ... dungeony ... more use of different bricks, vines and moss so it looks like a long abbandoned tempel, instead of ... a factory. Also hope they make it so the spawners can be calibrated to spawn enemies with armor and weapons, that could be cool. For a) challange rooms and b) Adventure map makers
Since Breeze is compared to Blaze a lot, not having a key or a Breeze specific drop could be a new obstacle to beating the game like you need a rod from the blaze.
Imagine a secondary end. A frozen end. Where you have to gather a breeze drop and one other drop to craft "Eyes of the Ice" and you go to a similar dimension to the end in a new type of portal or structure found in the end. Maybe after defeating the dragon 5 times, a new type of portal opens instead? Covered in frozen bedrock as a sign with a light blue beam instead of magenta. Or maybe you could convert existing portals between end islands and transferring you to this dimension? This end 2.0 would be an Ice dimension that is similar to the over world going through and ice age. You would be locked into an area in the beginning until you defeat a boss or a more difficult trial chamber, then you have access to ice villages. They could contain the ice villagers that lost a mob vote years ago. These villages would have pretty good loot, as well as there would be frozen variants of the villagers, similar to how the stray is from the skeleton. Shoot slowness, etc. Very good loot, but dangerous landscape. Special enchantments would be required to avoid freezing. Maybe Leather as an insulating property? Plus with it likely having snowier snow often... You would have the benefit of not sinking in it.

Personally i like the infighting, but it should be mob based, like a skeleton wont retaliate against another skeleton, but if they shoot a zombie or slime then have those mobs infight, kinda like how DOOM works

The breeze is a wind elemental and the blaze is the fire elemental. They should add the wind charge, a ball that explodes in wind.
I like the idea of a knock back orb.

I get that these mega dungeons are cool, but you can't deny that they will be the meta for getting lots of copper.
Also Mojang just announced they are publishing an official community server list (for Java and Bedrock, and servers must comply with EULA). I think that's pretty big but I haven't seen people talking about it, idk why.

The next challenge here is obvious. How long can you make it take to mine a trial spawner, bare-handed? Fill the room with water, apply perpetual mining fatigue 4 and water breathing, and just leave it mining overnight. Peak content.
Also have the player not on the ground so it takes even longer.

The fact that these structures are basically made out of solid copper rules out any chance that Mojang is gonna add more functions to copper. Otherwise this would be OP and they’d have to rework this dungeon with different materials which would take 45 seconds but I don’t see them doing that. Copper is just gonna remain as the most useless resource ever

I think the reason the trial spawner is inconvenient to mine is so that you don’t break it to stop other players from using it, but if you really need it out of the way it’s possible just inconvenient
Fun thing you can do with the trial Chambers is that you can in Port or download an SCP mod , and make a little bit of a site and then work your way from there so basically all Minecraft just did is added a little structure for me to build an SCP site on 😂

Finally someone competent at pvp reviewing these structures. Too many TH-camrs in full iron armor be dieing to skeletons. Also where are the fancy piston doors in these structures. That would be a cool way to go from section to section.
Minecraft should have trial chambers come in multiple sizes, the larger they are, the rarer, but the smallest should have the same spawn rate as dungeons

I think that the trial chambers are an awesome structure, and In my opinion, is really just for fun. The loot may be good, but that is kind of just a bonus in my opinion. If you just hold up your shield the whole time like you showcased, you are missing out on a lot of fun.

I’m pretty sure I remember reading a patch note that said the trial spawner had the same breaking function as Reinforced Deepslate. They take a very long time to break and no matter what tool you use to break them, they will always take the same amount of time.

My hopes for this update:
- balancing the spawners “infinite loot” system by having them break somehow after a certain amount of times they dispense loot or by having the loot be worth less and less the more it’s grinded without breaks in-between?
- balancing the breeze to be less of an annoyance and more of an enemy
- the stone chests and pots coming back in the ancient cities 🙏 (maybe those sculk jaw traps can even come back????? Please Mojang??? It would be so cool)
- some variation in the trial chambers such as ones overgrown by sculk or dripstone, or ones that are very old and show their weathering
- loot balancing in the chests. They aren’t super difficult so end city-esc loot is a bit much, especially in rooms where it spawns weak enemies like regular zombies and spiders.
- maybe some sort of tier system to their rooms where harder mobs can spawn such as husks with armor and weapons, spiders with potion effects like on hard mode or skeletons with more arrow variants such as harming, flame or knock back.
- some sort of team system where the enemies have a chance to never be able to attack each other
- some more movement based rooms such as lava/cobweb floors or pointed dripstone pits and parkour based challenges
- also there’s no reason for the spawners to be so unbreakable. I understand them wanting to be durable but it’s kinda unreasonable they’re that strong. What if I wanna make my house in a trial chamber?
I know it’s asking a lot but these could turn out SO promising! 🤩

I think some diamond gear with weak enchants are a solid reward for clearing these. If it's just iron gear, I'm not sure most players would bother. Of cource the rates of diamond gear might need to be adjusted, but I think it being present in general is a good thing.
I think instead of dropping gear dropping random unenchanted iron gear with a high frequency of powerful books is the better move post villagers having biome specific enchants this will be a neat way to supplement that and make getting enchants mire active rather than setting up a farm.
The dungeons seem very cool in concept (though I dont like the copper style ... so much orange and green)
I would hope they would make the look more ... dungeony ... more use of different bricks, vines and moss so it looks like a long abbandoned tempel, instead of ... a factory.
Also hope they make it so the spawners can be calibrated to spawn enemies with armor and weapons, that could be cool. For a) challange rooms and b) Adventure map makers

Since Breeze is compared to Blaze a lot, not having a key or a Breeze specific drop could be a new obstacle to beating the game like you need a rod from the blaze.
Imagine a secondary end. A frozen end. Where you have to gather a breeze drop and one other drop to craft "Eyes of the Ice" and you go to a similar dimension to the end in a new type of portal or structure found in the end.
Maybe after defeating the dragon 5 times, a new type of portal opens instead? Covered in frozen bedrock as a sign with a light blue beam instead of magenta. Or maybe you could convert existing portals between end islands and transferring you to this dimension?
This end 2.0 would be an Ice dimension that is similar to the over world going through and ice age. You would be locked into an area in the beginning until you defeat a boss or a more difficult trial chamber, then you have access to ice villages.
They could contain the ice villagers that lost a mob vote years ago. These villages would have pretty good loot, as well as there would be frozen variants of the villagers, similar to how the stray is from the skeleton. Shoot slowness, etc. Very good loot, but dangerous landscape.
Special enchantments would be required to avoid freezing. Maybe Leather as an insulating property? Plus with it likely having snowier snow often... You would have the benefit of not sinking in it.
The leather would also add difficulty as being a weaker armor. Or maybe incorporate a special trim that insulates you

Personally i like the infighting, but it should be mob based, like a skeleton wont retaliate against another skeleton, but if they shoot a zombie or slime then have those mobs infight, kinda like how DOOM works
