Not sure that anyone still wants to be an adjunct professor, given the extremely low pay and near-total lack of job security and benefits. You would do much better teaching in the public school system in most any state. Or, for men, working as a welder or EV car mechanic... for a woman, server in an expensive restaurant, as as a beautician. All all this is before considering starting your own 'school' as a tutor of well-off but illiterate dystunctional children...
From my experiences----getting adjuncting gigs is all about relationships----. Network. Network. Network. Ask who the decision makers are----and reach out to them.
