Hi really good video thanks, just a point of information - would you advise pupils that governments would only shift the supply or demand curves back to the minimum (or maximum) points and not back to the original equilibrium?
because technically for his diagram they aren't price floors and ceilings - a price floor would be above and a price ceiling would be below the equilibrium. But he's showing (left diagram) that an increased demand leads to a higher price above the "price floor" which is "bad" but that wouldn't make sense as it's a minimum price therefore any price above the minimum should be good. So technically they aren't price ceilings or floors they're as he says, bands to protect producers and consumers.
Because the idea is for a buffer stock, which revolves around the the state holding extra stock and to keep prices at optimum levels, they either buy up stock or sell buffer stock. A price floor and ceiling would be a regulation put in place, completely different concept.

Very helpful 😊 thank you
sir you are literally so cool
Why don't you just say it as price ceiling and flooring???
