    "Fish and whales are dying all over. Scientists aren’t sure why. We need to look into the causes that industry may not want us to look at. Toxic pollution, fertilizer runoff, coastal development, offshore wind farms, naval sonar." Robert F Kennedy Jr.

    For those who actually care, Trump’s EPA greenlit Florida’s proposal to take over the permitting process when developers want to build on sensitive marshes, cypress forests, ponds and other wetlands. The federal government has managed this process for decades.
    Florida’s program lacks many equivalent parts of the federal process, such as adequate enforcement authority and public participation opportunities.
    The Trump EPA’s hasty review overlooked glaring deficiencies in Florida’s ability to implement environmental protections. The state has consistently rubber-stamped massive wetland destruction and has let industry lobbyists write environmental rules to make them weaker. So don’t act confused as to how your “treasure” is being trashed. The people you voted for sold it to the highest bidder…

    I think the sawfish are being poisoned by all the chemicals being released from Lake Okeechobee and the sugar plantation monopoly that gets special treatment there. Also the sewage leaks around Miami and Ft. Lauderdale doesn’t help either.

    It's very obvious these people care immensely! These are true heroes, doing the hard work and sounding the alarm. I'm wondering why they euthanized the sawfish. Wouldn't it have made more sense to let it die naturally? Miracles happen and very sick animals and people can pull through. It must have really been in bad shape 😭

    • @jamiegallier2106
      @jamiegallier2106 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Are you kidding? They specifically said it was dying, its health reached a stage it could not recover from, euthanasia is a kindness sparing it from a prolonged slow, painful and possibly stressful death. Miracles don’t happen, just because an initial severe prognosis can sometimes turn around doesn’t make it a miracle- it just makes it a rare occurrence.

    So what we need is a controlled body of water to act as a filter for the nitrogen before water is released down. Nitrogen has to have a use somewhere.

    This is horrible! How do they know it's not sonar that the military did for testing in the water? 🤔

    • @Praetoreon
      @Praetoreon 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Because sonar happens in one location over short periods of time; usually where nuclear submarines have been running training exercises. This is happening from the shark river outlet on the west coast, all the way down the keys, and up the eastern coastline, and it has been happening for over a month… it’s not sonar… 🙄

    THIS IS WHAT HAPPEN YOU ALLOW CRUISE SHIPS TO DOCK A SUCH A SMALL ISLAND. They scraped up the bottom of the ocean to make it deep enough for those ships. The differecne between the beaches in 2022 and 2023 we're drastic. You couldn't go to the beach b/c there was so much seaweed, it smelled and it was COVERED in seaweed. They have murdered the Keys.
