Interesantísimo y bien documentado vídeo de Río Tinto. Creo que antes de los romanos ya explotaban sus minas los tartessos, según la arqueología. Un saludo, Atazina.
Thank you for your comment. In response to your question of if it is easy to accede to the zone, since it depends on the place where you reside. Riotinto's mines are located in the SO of Spain, in the province of Huelva. The best option is to fly up to the airport of Seville and to rent a vehicle. From the airport of Seville to the people Minas de Riotinto it is late approximately 1,20 hours.
Thanks for your reply! I haven't been to Spain in many, many years and I think it's high time I make my way back to the wonderfully gorgeous country that Spain is! I was wondering whether it is easy/possible to walk around the mines/the river freely. I would love to go there to photograph the area - is it allowed for just anybody to go there and shoot?
Good morning, I explain: there are some areas which are fenced and mine that cannot be accessed. On the other hand, others are free to walk and take pictures. As for the River, there are no restrictions to access it.In the town of Minas de Riotinto exists a center of interpretation of the mines and its history, with visits to some sites, including a short tour by train. I leave the website. If you decide to come you can contact with me. The best stations to take photos in the area are spring and autumn, the worst summer. @
Thank you for your message! This all sounds excellent! As spring is almost over, I will have to leave my visit until autumn or then spring next year. I believe both seasons offer totally different shooting possibilities. I am fascinated by the effects of mining and have a penchant for taking pictures of very unusual locations and this place satisfies both of my interests! I would be interested in coming to the area for at least 10 days, perhaps even two weeks, to take the time to get to know the area and shoot it properly. It would be lovely to meet up, and perhaps explore the area together - your video has given me some great shooting ideas and the desire to head out and shoot again! Thank you for sharing!

Muy lindo y bien documentado vídeo de Río Tinto.
Gracias
Precioso documental de Marte, perdón, de la zona de Río Tinto. Y una música muy acorde con sus misterios. Ojalá lo hubiese hecho yo.
Precioso
Excellent photographic journey through the area! Thanks so much for sharing and uploading! Is it easy to travel in the area?
