I’m not sure. They definitely weren’t aired down though and got themselves good and stuck. You can get anything stuck in the sand if you don’t know how to drive in it.
@@phillippardo5712 when driving on sand you always want to let air out of your tires. Airing down means you spread out the surface area of the tires in the sand and are more likely to “float” on top of it rather than sinking down. With my Jeep I air down to around 15psi on sand. 4wd/AWD is definitely important but you can easily bury your 4wd up to the frame if you aren’t aired down.
If your going to upload a recovery, probably should be a good one. When recovering always get people to stand clear. Always use a dampener unless you want a rope flung through your back window, and never tow by towpoints. If they don't have proper recovery points, pull a shovel amd recovery tracks out damn...
Hell yeah Matt’s off road recovery rope is a champion and so is the banana and morvair
This brought back memories. I remember driving this exact trail back in 2010.
Enjoyed the video. I'm heading out to Fort Fischer next weekend for the first time. Looking forward to the trip.
Should be a good time! Isn’t there a big Jeep event going on next weekend?
@@krazyk86cu I'm not sure, but that would be great if I lucked into new friends while there!
Good job man
nice recovery!
7:24 starts
I was there today!
Nice Jeep
Thanks!
@@krazyk86cu were you out there today? It was cloudy and overcast with some minor showers but not many people out there
@@TheQuirby I wish! Not today. I’m about 3 hours away so I don’t get to go as often as I’d like

So we got a call...
You need to tag Matt in this video so he sees it. #mattsoffroadrecovery
I did tag them on Instagram with a link to this video.
Dude goes up and down beaches feeling better about himself by helping people who never asked for it. Ya'll are real bad ass, lol.
Lots of people do this at fort fisher
Are those 35 x 12.50 tires? Did you need to air your tires down at all on that sand?
They are 37x12.50 and yeah, I aired down to 15
Did the ranger threaten to fine u? And for what?
No, she just told me I was going to fast and to slow it down. I’m sure she could have given me a ticket if she wanted so I’m thankful she didn’t.

Lol @ your username. Pull out game is strong
Was that 4Runner only 2wd or what??

@@krazyk86cu I see.. I really didn't think you had to air down if you're driving a 4wd 4runner though..?

@@krazyk86cu great to know. I'll follow that advice. Thanks!
Is free to go in to the beach
No, you have to purchase either a day pass or season pass. I don’t recall the cost.
Is free
That's usually how I find 4runners. Stuck.

It’s a kinetic rope. Nobody puts a damper on a kinetic rope.
