Of course for porten~os is important where you dance in Buenos Aires but for the rest of us in the world is the quality of the dancing style, and this video show this in the most beautiful way, Greets from Germany
Amazing performance!!! Tango 100%. Thank you for posting this video, Ney. I always wanted to see this great dancer in the dance floor. In Argentina we usually say "De tal palo tal astilla" Best regards from Sweden
hello everybody Miguel balmaceda Did not dance Villa Urquiza Style ,so he is dancing at salon canning ,i can tell you this because i am Julio and he was my father
Cid: I understand your statement, but let me add, that a good way to better understand and learn our worldwide beloved tango, all this information (where when, who, why etc..) is kind of great piece of information to keep educating us in this wonderful dance. I personaly thank "amorfica" and "milonguerargentina" for colaborating to know more facts.
If tradition is respected, Don Miguel should be dancing with Nelly. The place is the old Salon Canning, when the street sign outside read Avenida Canning. Another great video Ney, but another unfortunate choice of words to force the concept of styles to a lazy audience. :-) Style is unique to every good dancer. Don Miguel was, and still is, one of a kind.
Stop people with those silly comments about Urquiza style... Cause Urquiza style is just an invention from people who's never dance before those great dances like anothers were alive.
His son today really looks like him! For my own personal tango culture, what caracterizes this ' Villa Urquiza' style ? Its tenants (Jennifer's idol Javier R. included) seem rather sober, straight and fixed in the abraso but apart from that...?
@chiflandoungotan Dispari empezo a bailar hace por lo menos 40 anios (enie) no se con quien no queres compararlo (si es con el hijo porsupuesto que Jorge es mucho mas) pero no podes negar la calidad de Jorge!!!
Yes, but reading some statements from Tete the barrio is not so important as we may think, but the good dancers who defined I style which then was imitated from others which happened to live in the neighborhood. Saludos
I love to see Miguel Balmaceda danse! He was the best.
