I just started diamond painting, finished my first one just the other day with just what came with the kit. Just the ribbon baggies they came in for storing my drills. Bought my second one and a storage kit and new pens yesterday. So excited to kit up for the first time!!!!
98 hours a week sounds about right. I remember what life was like working full time plus raising kids and handling the house. Not fun. I’ve been home with the kids since 2009 and I’m so much happier.
Enjoy watching your kitting up. Static drives me crazy too. I also don’t use the numbers. Just use the DAC and symbols/ number/alphabet. I do arrange them by number, then alphabetical, then symbols ( putting like symbols together). Neat little funnel, but I prefer the square 1.9 “ tall in the cases. I do like the rounds in the stackable draws as they stack nicely and take up less space, but they cost more. Some one told me they were in a restaurant here in the states that did have robots. Enjoyed the company. I’ll check out that company. Peace and love abide with you 💕
Hello Daphne , I had gotten so tired of having to clean off with googone that I purchased the white round labels and have them all on my round bottles . Makes removing the painting label off . DAC are not the stickiest and have a tendency to curl up on the container . Have tried using tweezers to place them , but it didn't matter. It doesn't matter who are creating the label , some stick way to good and some barely stick at all .
I usually don't have much trouble with DAC stickers, but it also depends on how long they've been attached to the container. Washi tape for the win! Thanks for watching!!
The chemical smell of static guard is a deal breaker for me. Dryer sheets are my go to. The always work but the secret is the technique. Have you seen how diamond painting Jim does it? It’s the best method. I take it a step further but his method is close to mine. Check him out, I rarely struggle with static using that method.
The fashion style of the girl in the painting is called Decora, which is basically ’decorated’. It was a popular Harajuku-based (yes, it’s an area of Tokyo known for youth niche fashion and cute things) fashion in the 2006-2012ish range, if personal memory serves me. Outliers, like visual kei bands continued the look longer. I think it’s making a bit of a comeback recently, though with a different group of people. Anime and idol fans instead of visual kei fans…
This has nothing to do with diamond painting, and I know this video was seven months ago; however, I felt compelled to drop you a (maybe) reassuring note about your reaction to your daughter's surgery. I've had four brain surgeries, two abdominal surgeries, an emergency thrombectomy to clear a massive saddle PE blocking both sides of my lungs, and a number of other smaller procedures. Bad genetics all around. Although I was the one with my skull, abdomen, knee, etc., cracked open and dealing with all the pain that entailed, emotionally, I know it was easier on me than it was on my family. So you aren't at all crazy to say you're recovering from your daughter's surgery.

Awesome! Thanks for watching!!
Hi. Just wanted to suggest you try clipping off the bottom corner of the bag. Saves struggling with closure. (Only the small quantities, of course!)

I don’t miss the sleep deprivation either!!
Thanks for this Daphne. I watched this in hospital to help me to calm down and sleep. I had horrific pain. You've got a calm presence. Take care. ❤💗
I hope you are feeling better!
@@DiamondPaintingAnonymousI'm much better now. 💗
@@AnnabellaRedwood Good!!
I’ve seen that kit completed, and it is stunning! I’m so tempted but have plenty of large paintings in my stash already.
Me too, but I don’t let that stop me! 😂 Thanks for watching!!
I feel like that is going to a fun painting! Enjoy! ❤
It will be! Thanks for watching!!

Oh I love the funnel! I have been using my bottle cases more then my EW now. I have been preferring them for some reason.
Everything is cyclical! Thanks for watching!!

Maybe I just don’t get the right kind of dryer sheets - I’ve had way better luck with the static spray than the sheets!
🧡🧡🧡
Thanks for watching!!
I use dryer sheets for the static.
I've tried the dryer sheets - they just don't work as well for me as the static spray. Thanks for watching!!
I kit up by DMC number too
Thanks for watching!!
