"Bon Voyage" is the 3rd and final part of the Apocalypse trilogy. The members have mentioned that it is about giving nature a break, just like it can be good in a relationship to not be together all the time. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it, just as death is a part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a seed.
That leads my dark mind to believe that they are saying "Have a good trip" to humanity, since we are well on the way of wiping ourselves out. I could of course be wrong. Once humanity is gone, nature gets the break it needs and the circle will begin again. For me, the key to understanding the lyrics is that they are singing as human being, not as a single person. And they are talking to nature, confessing their love (and also regret).
I can also imagine they are building an ark to take plants and animals to another planet. It would make sense with some of the scenes in the MV.
As you can see, my theory is not perfect. I also do not know why all three titles are in French. 😉 (And why are there 3 Damis with 7 shadows...)
Musically I can already say this is one of their best songs for me. The chorus slaps hard, and the variations between heavy and slow are just beautiful. It has emotion and impact at the same time. Putting JiU's sweet voice together with an acoustic guitar is simply genius. We lost Leez as a producer, but the team around Ollounder did a fantastic job! And as a bass player, I can say the slap bass is crazy!
I probably won't have to tell anyone that the visuals here are out of this world. I'm going to say it anyways: The members have never looked more beautiful, and the whole team all deserve a raise!
I have the same feeling as you. They’re talking about humanity and the world like a breakup where they and us are humanity. They’re basically saying, “I love you, but I realize I am not good for you and you probably resent me. Therefore, I will leave you so you can move on and become better”. It’s really bittersweet and lowkey calling upon humanity’s end.

What really happend was that I was thinking of a name for my account on other app and Shen QingQiu is one of my fav mcs of chinese novels, so I decided to use his name, but as the name 'Shen QingQiu' was already being used I decided to go with his birth name and as I'm a girl and, honestely, the word MeiMei is just so cute, I decided to go with it.

For me this song gives hope for the future while making our past experience as the foundation for our future to grow,learn to love ourselves and people around us, the image of broken buildings are our past selves and how some of us makes mistakes or our trauma on how it crumbled us and our surroundings and our environment and the flowers growing out of these crumble building indicates that from these experiences we can still grow out like a beautiful flower have a safe journey for our future and not forget our past and use our past experiences to build a foundation for our better future self to grow and flourish....I mean thats what I got anyway

I don't like the constant cute hoppsassa & trallala in K-Pop anymore. So I'm in love with Dreamcatcher. Not everything immediately on first hearing, but ultimately most of it. But you always have to be ready to try something completely new. If it's not good enough, then it's not - only that hasn't happened so far.
As now. "Bon Voyage" is musically quite special. It definitely took me 4-5 attempts to enjoy it. But after that I couldn't stop.
Dreamcatcher are an incredibly talented group in terms of music, voices, live performances, videos, looks, expression, impression, clothes... and lots of fun and craziness are involved. I'm glad to have discovered this group with "Piri" (2019). They keep getting better at everything - every damn time. And this 8th mini album is another masterpiece and great contribution to K-Pop.

second verse after chorus before rap is Handong and Gahyeon. I believe you asked specifically towards Handong. well she's Chinese and her language already teaching how to play with intonation. every Chinese member in kpop group can be expected having unique tone that balance the group. it depends on the agency and producers how they evolve the Chinese members bcs technically there's an old mindset that Chinese and (South) Korean can't be together bcs of historical things I can say.. like China, South Korea, and Japan are being antsy with each other (North Korea becoming bestie to China therefore North and South thing happened)
