Fab reading numbers! I read 103 last year and 90 the year before so very similar. I read Babel and didn't love it, should have DNF'd it but pushed through. Don't think i'll pick up the Poppy War books, fantasy isn't my thing and they've never really appealed to me. Glad you loved them though. I got Yellowface as a Christmas present and plan to read it soon. Everyone I know that's read it has loved it too. I read Cleopatra and Frankenstein the year before last and really enjoyed it, think it was a 4 star for me. And ny thoughts about Grady Hendrix and MBFE are rhe same as yours, def his best book, the others for me were just..blah And yes, The Great Gabsy! I didn't think much of it either when I read it years ago. I couldn't understand the love for it. I haven't read the others you mentioned but I'm taking your word for it lol. Literary fiction is probably my favourite genre these days too. Have been reading and listening to a lot of contempory romance too, like Beth O'Leary. I'm on storygraph too. Can I add you? 🤎
Thank you for the comment! I love Beth o'leary and Emily Henry, i need to finish reading a couple of both their books. It looks like we have similar interests then, of course you can add me on Storygraph, my handle on there is Tarnya_Smith! My goal for this year is 80 books though, trying not to put too much pressure on myself as i'm hoping to invest more time in youtube creating along side reading this year :)
@@tarnya_smith just followed you there. Yeah I usually set mine at 75 so I don't feel pressure to read more too. I love Emily Henry too, very easy to read. I'm a mood reader so pick these types up when I want something easy and feel good 📚
