      She was realy brave for taking action despite being terrified of him. It's easier to stand up as a large person. But as a woman of a smaller stature than him, to be willing to take actions takes a lot of courage

      @@zolo4600 They both should get compliments, as He is a guy people tend to think it's normal for them to stand up in that way. Not every guy even cares or doesn't do anything about situations like this. He did a great job the way he confronted him and the woman also. For her it would have been even more tough it really depends on the person. Well done to both of them we need more people who stand up for what's right, then having others who simply don't want to fix anything and just stay silent.

      Same with me, it was so scary. I was visiting another city quite faraway from my home (6 hours train ride). It happened in the train station, a man suddenly talked to me n followed me to my seat, he tried to touch me n kept asking me to visit his home. Goodness it was a long ride n I was so scared he gonna take me (he was a big man). There was not much passengers on my carriage, but luckily a whole family came n occupied the seats around me. The husband chased that man out, I was so lucky that day😭

    one thing i've noticed after binging your videos is that most of the people who offer help connect the incidents to their own experiences. being able to witness such level of empathy through your videos is healing. ありがとございます!

    • @vainamoinen504
      @vainamoinen504 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Well, technically them only helping due to having the same experience would be closer to sympathy. Empathy is an inherent ability to feel someone else's emotions, regardless of the respondent having gone through the same type of experiences or not.

    • @vainamoinen504
      @vainamoinen504 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also, on that note, I wonder if not having the same experience makes them think: "I have no place to assume I know enough to help this person and am just going to bother them if I do". I.e. It would be kind of egotistical of them to step out of bounds on a matter they know little of, potentially causing more trouble for the other person.

    • @UzumakiHarutoJP
      @UzumakiHarutoJP 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@vainamoinen504 sympathy = not able to feel it, but condoles
      empathy = can feel what they are feeling, becoming the reason they condole
      so it is empathy
      also all these videos remind me of anime for some reason, like anime backstories when they interview the person that took action 😭

    Second guy boldly honest about his past. Respect for understanding that he was too aggressive in the past and actually learning from it, unlike some bozos who just literally assault people because they were rejected.
    Plus, more respect for physically confronting the guy in his face. A guy bold enough to commit a crime in the middle of a restaurant is not someone a lot of people would directly challenge, as those kinds of people tend to be more dangerous.
    Props to both bystanders in all.

    Once I saw 3 men fighting, 2 were hitting one guy brutally and he kept falling on the ground and again got up to fight again, he was almost going to faint and it looked so sad and terrible for him, but no one really helped. This happened in a boating area surrounded with 20-30 people and many boatmen who looked stronger than the 3 men fighting. Since I spoke little Japanese I requested the boatmen to help them stop the fight, at first they replied it is personal matter (like seriously?) but eventually after insisting the boatmen finally got involved and stopped the fighting.
    It was shocking because if in future someone comes and stabs me in a crowded place I think no one will even react here, may be they won't even call an ambulance for me in Japan?
    So, I think this channel is doing a great job by making people more aware that helping each other is important as a social species called humans.

    Men or women, it must have taken some courage to stop this kind of incident. I know people who tried to help but were hit by the perpetrator, and ended up getting blamed by everyone for "prying into someone else's business". After those incidents, they would always think twice before helping someone. It's even saddening that some of them would avoid exchanging any contant with potential victims too because they don't want to be ridden with guilt for not helping.
    It's understandable that we should think of our own safety, but if all passersby/strangers were to combine their strength to stop this kind of incident, I believe that nobody would get hurt or left with a traumatic experience.
    Some things can be ambiguous, but if you spot an incident that may result in a nasty outcome if it's left alone as clear as this, please don't hesitate to help. Or at least ask someone else to help, if you're scared.

      The case you said: in Asian countries mainly Japan and China, there are a lot of scams like this: someone fakes to be injuried and when someone tries to help the scammer accuses them saying they hit them and ask for a compensation. This is a famous scam there.
      Japanese people are the ones who mind their own business: they don't put their hand on the fire till they know it's safe for them, not because they are egocentric but because they have a strong base on the family. Saying all japanese people suck and don't help others is a lie.
      Violence against women also happens everywhere, unfortunally

    I've had situations like this happen to me in public settings but luckily I was only alone one time. I was 12 and walking to the store by myself because my friends were still at school for practice and it was an early release day. I was about 2 blocks away from the store waiting for my pedestrian light when a strange man missing 3 front teeth and chipped all the rest approached me in his rusted red toyota that was from like the 70s. And he tried to get me in his truck repeatedly. I said no thanks about a dozen times. He kept following me along side the road which like why?? It's a fucking 4 lane highway with a speed limit of 45mph you should not be driving 5mph just to pick up some CHILD YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW. He even tried the "well your dad sent me to look for you and pick you up" lie. Well jokes on him I know all my dad's friends and none of them look like they've been smoking meth for the last 30 years. He sped off and pulled into the store I planned on shopping in and my brain immediately said "AMBUSH ALERT" and I noped the fuck out and went to a corner store across the street. Idc that it was way more expensive than if I just went to the other store. I was afraid for my life. I was genuinely scared I was gonna be kidnapped and never seen again. So I paid like $20 for 2 bags of chips and 2 monsters. But I walked away with my life. And that's priceless. I also never went to the store alone again. I always asked for a ride from my parents or asked my friends if they wanted to go with me. And if they didn't. I wouldn't go. I'm still like that and it's been 8 years. I refuse to walk anywhere by myself unless I know there's people that know me waiting for me at my destination.

    Every prank/social experiment channel does a man vs woman video. Every single one. Everyone knows that women are going to be help in almost every country culture. Very few channels will do a man being harassed by a woman, or beaten by girlfriend/wife. Everyone either ignores or laughs ("what did he do?"). Mental health and safety is also a man's right. The only exception when it comes to males is if it clearly and underage or little boy.
    The real test of a society/social experiment is how people react when it's a man being harassed/abused. No one does those SE's and uploads them, because that clearly shows how disposable/expendable, disregarded men are in society.

    여기 한국에서도 똑같은 실험 똑같은 사람들의 반응이 나왔습니다. 다른 점은 한국 사람들은 나쁜 남자에게 화를 내고 인상을 쓰고 무슨 짓이냐고 지적을 하는 사람들이 많았습니다.

    Correction: talking to someone (even a stranger) is not wrong in the first place. People do talk to stranger in Japan all the time especially among seniors and townfolks. However if you refuse to back down upon rejection, only THAT is wrong and considered harassment

    But like jeez, if that guy hadn't been there, the other two people sure weren't going to do anything. Barely spared her a glance. Even getting the store manager would have been nice.

    There's something wrong with this sentence "I was picked up picked up by a guy once." I felt some negativity towards the term. It would be sad if a woman I like would feel like that if I start talking to her. obviously, nothing like that guy in the video, just simple "hi" or a small talk. The sentence, "Being talked to by a stranger is very scary" describes a feeling of a lot of women in Asian countries. Most of them are genuinely scared - being picked up is not a thing.

    You see this happen to a lot of streamers in Japan. And if it happens to a lady with a livestream in her face and the guys still go for it, it clearly happens to so many women. Seem to have two very opposite types of people in Japan. Some like the guy in case 2 and some are very forward and forceful with no shame.

    Men have to also be against those who have this attitude towards them too. No gender speciality. But yes, if I was being harassed like this by a woman or a man, I'd be annoyed and feeling humiliated.

    When it comes to another lady being scared I'm not afraid to fight for her. I can protect myself naturally but i get this crazy i mean CRAZY adrenaline that just 😅. It's like right next to Berserk or Spartan mode. Stay close to each other ladies, but don't become paranoid. ❤❤

    Having lived in Japan for a long time I think these video's are very cherry picked. I would like to know what the percentage of people who ignored this is. In my experience of the way Japanese don't want to get involved it would be about 99%

      Because Japan is a very reserved country and prefer to keep out of other peoples business or things that don't concern them. Especially if they don't know of the man in the suit is part of the yakuza, he was mostly covered up so you couldn't see if he had tattoos or something.

      because we Japanese are educated to respect others space. We don't like to interrupt others conversation that's why.
