    Ordered the book after I saw your discussion with Gabe Oppenheim. It tells a completely different story compared to the Creed book I got for free with my order from Creed. Knowing the truth behind Creed’s fragrances makes them even better in my opinion.
    Erwin and Olivier Creed are brilliant businessmen - they had the best perfumers create some stunning fragrances, took credit for them, and later sold the business for around a billion to BlackRock.

    Provenzano's Matar for Spirit of Kings still my favourite iteration of the scent. Quite possible that the signature musk is also used in Spice and Wood. Combined with the birch, it's probably the best smelling woody accord I've ever experienced. Need to have a good dollop of it though. Perhaps BlackRock could favour us with a Spice and Wood Intense? For 1/3 of the price? 😄 Gooood luck.

    Hi MrSmelly1977, thank you for sharing! I don't think the brand owners have to be the perfumers themselves.
    They can add value by providing the means for the creations and choosing the best compositions. That was the case with Chanel No.5. They don't have to be dead butterflies.
    The problem comes with the "unnecessary" lies.

    I've always described Royal Water as being like the sexiest, dirtiest lemon soap, especially in older bottles. That "new musk" must be the mystery thing that's giving it that quality because it's not a feeling I get from many perfumes outside of Creed. I refer to Royal Water because it is such a clean and simple fragrance that there aren't that many places you can hide or conversely, showcase but there is definitely something "extra" in it.

      You would have to think that before an investment companies spent upwards of 200 million they wouldn’t of done a little bit of research, at this point does it even really matter to the bottom line we might care but it won’t stop people from buying the fragrance. The best thing creed could do now is make something new with nuclear performance to really bring the shine back to creed.

    It took me a couple of years into the hobby to pull the trigger on Aventus. Wish I hadn't bothered. Sold it on as literally couldn't smell it. I now have CDNIM EDP as well as Cedrat Boise to itch that scratch. I would LOVE to have a decent bottle of Aventus, but cannot be arsed with all the best batch research which is necessary (and shouldn't be) in order to obtain what I see as the 'real thing'. I smelled a sample of a couple of years ago and it was great, but the full bottle I ended up buying was water... Shame really.

    The recipe for Creed Aventus was given to the Holy Prophet Muhammad in Mecca in the late 6th Century by the angel Jibreel, when Mecca was a huge thriving metropolis with a large industrial perfume-making capacity and alchemical laboratories (along with lots of expensive ink and paper which was very VERY expensive back in those days). It was diluted with pure clean fresh water (which is very necessary for thriving metropolises, as you know, and which there was a lot of back then in Mecca which had flourishing vegetable farms and lots of trees to feed the many thousands who were there using the fragrances that Muhammad sold to everyone and became very wealthy as the result of, in fact more or less conquering much of the world with soon afterwards).
    Most of the ingredients for the original Creed came from Mecca - including the pineapple which was very plentiful there on account of the many pineapple farms and the plentiful water and advanced reticulation systems. Even the actual letters of the word 'CREED' were sourced right there from Mecca - except for the final letter, the letter 'D;' which came from Yemen after a stone fell down from the sky in Turkey (which is not a hundred million miles from Mecca, but you don't need to really know about that, because, well, 'creed' - means believe, not actually 'know').
    This information is authentic and comes from the authentic hadiths of Al Jeremi Al Fragranzi (aka 'AJAF').

    • @bigboyfinesse8310
      @bigboyfinesse8310 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@winnienguyen4420 tabarome was INSPIRED BY CHURCHILL, he couldn’t have worn it, it was released after he died, at least according to what is trackable. The oldest creed bottle found was from around 1970-1980 and it was not a „vintage tabarome“ which creed claims to be released in 1875. the current tabarome, which is a trackable fragrance was released 2000. we all know that the creed version of the story is bs by now. Creed fragrances are brilliant because they have a lot of money = good perfumers + expensive ingredients and that’s all that is to it. I love creed for what they do, not for what they claim to have done.
      Also a fun fact, it’s kind of ironic that old creed fragrances have never been sold in vaporizer bottles but only in big 250 or 500 ml splash bottles which you had to fill into their atomizers. It’s obviously a shtick to make us believe they are ancient, vintage and oldschool or something but in reality it’s just another method to hide the fact that there are no old creed bottles aside from those very splash bottles i was talking about what so ever.

    The logical mistake everyone makes here is that Pierre Bourdon is the real deal and Olivier Creed just used his talent. However, Pierre never made anything comparable to GIT or Aventus in his entire career (mostly designer stuff) with the most notable creation on the niche side coming from Malle's French Lover (far from Creed's big hitters). While Creed keeps on making niche bangers, the two brilliant perfumers never had another big break in the niche game... Hmmm?
