Sadly John, who performed Elvis died on the 23rd Dec 2018, a good friend of mine, and an incredible performer, and will be sadly missed by all who got the pleasure of knowing or meeting him. RIP my friend.
Jimmy Jermaine was just so spot on with his impersonation of Cliff Richard as he not only looked like Sir Cliff but also sounded like him when he spoke too it was amazing.
Bramble & Rosie big fa of mistletoe and wine he did a good job but as you know nobody will do it as good as the person there are doing people that believe that someone is 100% as good as the person they are doing there living in a dream world
It's the 1st December 2017 and I'm watching it on the bus to work! Hoping Steve Steinman (Steve Murray/Meatloaf) will work a Christmas song into his Christmas Rocktacular show at Viva, Blackpool on 22nd and 23rd December 2017 x
I remember I was positioned on the closing finale sharing a microphone with Jimmy and he had the worst bad breath I have ever experienced... Thank goodness it only took one take!
Can you send your dad my best wishes from Steve (Billy Idol) x Also he may be interested in a book I've just published on Amazon, my memoirs titled 'See You Next Tuesday' which covers some of our time on Stars.....regards and great memories
At 9:44, when they're all singing 'White Christmas', I can see the following contestants from the 1993 series (and those who I liked): Sharon Terri as Cyndi Lauper Gary Ryan as Neil Diamond Johnny Robinson as Boy George Steve McCormack as Billy Idol Tara Lewis as Lulu Brendan Mullarkey as David Essex Gary Sneddon as Marc Almond Gary Anderson as Curtis Stigers Gary Crowley as Axl Rose Jacqui Cann as Alison Moyet Are there any other contestants from that series in this scene (who I like)? OK, I know I might have initially said I didn't like Axl Rose, but you gotta love that skeleton jacket he wore, which I'll admit was cool. I know what the above sang: Cyndi Lauper - was part of the song 'Santa Baby' (sung by one of the 1990 series contestants) [Cyndi Lauper also appeared with one of the 1992 series contestants] Billy Idol - All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth David Essex - A Winter's Tale Marc Almond - was part of the song 'Zat You Santa Claus' (appeared with one of the 1991 series contestants, and one of the entrants I didn't like from the 1993 series, who was worse than Axl Rose) Axl Rose - Santa Claus is Coming to Town Neil Diamond, Boy George, Lulu, Mariah Carey, Curtis Stigers and Alison Moyet don't show up until the end. In addition, Billy Idol, Axl Rose and Meatloaf appeared with one of the 1991 series contestants and one of the 1992 series contestants. I don't know when this 'John Prescott' appeared on the show (was he in the Elvis Special that Russ Abbott hosted?) and I know the guy he appeared with was from the 1991 series. The first person (who, since he was accused of cyberbullying and being a pedophile, as well as rape and child pornography, was now banned from being done on the show again) was from the 1992 series. The first person who appeared in part 2 was a contestant from the 1991 series, and the guy who appeared after him was from the 1990 series. Since I didn't like some of the returning contestants in this Christmas Special, I'll not say what songs they sang. Moreover, this Elvis impersonator (John Prescott, by name) wasn't one of my favourites in this Christmas Special. Regarding 'the first person' (this means he was the first person to appear in this Christmas Special), not only were people banned from impersonating him on this show in any year subsequent to 1992, but Challenge have also been banned from repeating heat 2 of the 1992 series, for that reason.
Two corrections I have to make (I mean I'm correcting myself; these are errors that I personally made): A - the word is spelt 'paedophiling' B - John Prescott was in the one-off Elvis Special on Saturday the 2nd of January 1993, hosted by Russ Abbott (so he definitely wasn't one of my favourites in this Christmas Special) [and was worse than Axl Rose] Additionally, Ian Scott as Peter Noone shows up in the end, singing the ensemble of 'White Christmas', as do Christie Stevens as Mariah Carey and Lorraine Barnes as Vanessa Williams (and, of course, Steve Murray as Meatloaf, who sang 'Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer', is included in said ensemble). It's interesting that, out of all the nine 1993 finalists, the only one who didn't return for the ending of this Christmas Special is Pat Cairns as Kenny Rogers. It's unknown why this is / was.

So sorry.
