These IMCO lighters show Austrian engineering at it's finest. Just as reliable as a Zippo with the added feature of a removable candle (great for pipe smokers), an extra slot for a stand-by flint (just above spring when open), one-motion opens and strikes (rather than two-step process of open then strike with Zippo), and they're just as wind resistant and durable. This was a great lighter to see restored. The Junior model is less common than the Triplex. One thing I would mention...during the final pin assembly, the backing should cover the front flaps on both sides. Wasn't sure if anyone else commented on that. Great video.

My son and I love your videos.... Especially the lighters. He's a pyro. I am cleaning out my 92 year old grandfather's garage. He was a machinist and handyman.....and a hoarder. Seriously, 20 some odd hammers. I stumbled on a Dremel Moto-Saw. Pretty rough but a cool device. Let me know if you would like to play with it. Let me know how and I can send a pic if interested.

nice work. I have the exact same lighter. I love it. Use it whenever I smoke cigars. Great art deco vintage vibe on it.

I really like the design of this lighter. It is a very smart idea to have it used as a candle. I would love to see some of your unique designs also.

I find these restorations quite relaxing. A bit like watching a very handy magician making things work again. Subscribed!

I'm not an ASMR junkie and can barely even remember what ASMR is all about... but I do have to say, your sound work is very pleasing.

A great example of an early production unit of the 6600 with the 3-piece fuel canister and the arrow marking on the slide

Nice job, and it brings back memories as my grandad had quite a few of these lighters, they were cheap and reliable, and I'm almost 100% sure they were nickel plated originally - a couple of my grandad's were even "gold" plated. 👍👍👍

I'm sure they were nickel plated because some area are still do shoe there must have been some sort of plating and if it was chrome there would probably be copper under it

I was thinking it might be better if you grew an extra hand or two!! Seeing you trying to hold all the little bits and put it back together was nerve wrenching. If I were doing that there would have been nothing left to put back together- LOL They would have been all over the floor!! Never a disappointment. Thanks for sharing!! :)
