- hi guys! i'm chloe and i'm a sophomore at san diego state! i have learned so much after being here for about 1 1/2 years and i thought i should share. i hope this is useful if you're considering coming to state. subscribe for more videos!

Very good video. Just one correction, the school is not in the city of El Cajon, it is still in the city of San Diego, mid city area. There is a nearby boulevard, named El Cajon Blvd., which has sketchy parts, but it is not the city of El Cajon.
i’ve lived in el cajon my whole life this area is not sketchy, actually very safe😭
She is from out the state of California.
*She barely knew where our San Diego Beaches are located.

Can you say something about how it is for an exchange student to go to SDSU for a semester. In the thought of sorority houses and partying and so on. And would you recommend to live on campus for 6 months or somewhere else? Thanks😊

Wanting to find out more on cost, I know it varies but is $19,000 semester or year and how much is housing
25 minutes to the beach is super close in my opinion! But yeah if you don’t have a car it’s a little hard
i agree! its not a bad drive at all but if you dont have a car it can be difficult. also dont want to give off the wrong impression that the school is right next to the water haha
My son will be going to SDSU this year so I’ve been watching videos with him on what to expect and this is by far one the most entertaining and informative videos I’ve come across! We’ll be looking for other tips on your channel! Also, could you tell me if there’s a Wells Fargo ATM on campus?

meal plan scam currently eating my double shrimp poki bc they ran out of salmon and the Starbucks lines were outrageous today

Oh yeah. I wish I could go back in time. I would have not gotten the meal plan. I regret getting the 800 on my card/ID card, and not knowing, no way to check your balance (at least not back then), and all of a sudden one day, with 2 more weeks for the semester to end, they tell me your balance is zero. If I could go back, I would get the 10 dollars a day meal plan, or bring money in my wallet, or my credit card.
I don't even go to the school and I was able to get into frat parties lol

i agree, the diversity on campus is an issue i think the university needs to do better with!
Cause the majority is white here ? The demographics seem fair
@@citlallimtnz2729Yes, but whiteness can be very problematic, and might pose a risk to overall safety of others.
There is still plenty the university can do to increase diversity on campus, such as limit white admission to keep education inclusive :)
@@jd9064 not even half of SDSU demographics is white. I think the school is doing fine. If they purposely don’t select white students when there’s thousands more applicants that are white that creates another problem. If I was white I would be upset. More women attend college because way more women apply to college than men a fact. Can’t deny hard working students just because of their race, age, gender.
