dude i love how you speak so fast everyone else takes too long and waffles around and gets hard to maintain focus etc.
That's what I aim for! Straight to the point!
Thanks
Rory @ HPTV
Probably the first tutorial I don’t watch at 1.5x speed ahaha
I know lets get on with the show! It's really difficult when people aren't prepared to explain, and don't show by example!
I love waffles
22 minutes felt like 10 minutes, I learned alot from this. Great Video!
awesome video brother.
@ 13:24 "mix is all about creating space for different elements, its all one big JIGSAW"
YES IT IS! Some people can put jigsaws together....others can put it together, ARTISTICALLY!
great basic mix. even after years of doing this, videos like this remind me to reset and utilize fundamentals.
Exactly! It's all quite simple once you breakdown and understand the process bit by bit.
Thanks for watching!
Stay Awesome,
Rory @ Hyper Production
I love how you explain the reason why you are doing everything. I've watched so many videos on mixing and I think this has been the most helpful and easy to understand. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
This was an excellent tutorial with just the right detail. Exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks so much!
Quick and to the point + easy to understand ! Upvoted & subbed
Thank you so much! Really do appreciate it :)
Lovely !! Making the adjustment from teaching Ableton to learning logic ... you are making it a breeze !
One of the best vids came across nice and fast paced but straight to the point not just mixing but EQ and processing, these tips will be taken to the grave, Thank you Hyper Production you squashed everything I have not been taking into consideration with my production for last 4 years into 22 mins :D
I love how you explain everything you do. Best video on TH-cam!
Awesome video! This helped me visualize where to cut and boost similar instruments with EQ and which take I'd like to emphasize the most.
Thank you for explaining this thoroughly!
Really helpful video in general, but also your "I"m trying to sculp / give things their place by XYZ" type commentary is really helpful for a novice to understand WHY...since my track or mix isn't what you're using...so I'll need to understand the WHY and not just HOW on that specific track. Thanks.
bruv shoutouts to your timeline, all these colours are so perfectly matched i almost cried
Fantastic tutorial, clear and to the point.
Thanks bro. First time looking at mixing. Like how direct you are, informative and concise. Quickly going back to the track to show what you are saying. Well done old chap!
Nice video! Thanks for the mixing tips.
Nice and clean demo and Mix! You really do it like a veteran barber with insight... shaving off just the right amount! I thought your descriptions explanations and analogies of what you were doing added a useful perspective.. I think when unlocking the code of a complex safe.. you can study it's components for only so long until you need to be shown what to do with that knowledge... teaching by example.. I love it!
Excellent Tutorial ! Thank You so much! I took notes!
BROTHER, YOU ARE THE BEST!!! You oooh really helped me!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Super helpful, you are helping to teach a whole generation of future music makers, thanks buddy!
Having previously known nothing about mixing..this video and the way you presented it really helped me learn a great deal!
It's feedback like this that makes me LOVE what I do. Super glad I was able to help you.
Stay Awesome,

You just proved that you can streamline information while remaining informative. Thanks
Fantastic. Thanks for your expertise and instructions I learned more from this than I did at college.
Great video, helped so much!! Sometimes you just have to know how to use a plugin etc. without having to know what makes it work - and practice makes perfect!!!
Perfect video! Not to slow, not to fast. thanks!
Thank you so so much!!!!Ive come through so many tutorials, but this one is straight to the point, great work!
fabulous - so helpful. A lot of this can be intimidating to a beginner. You demonstrate the core concepts and techniques so clearly.
Luv this beat!! thanks for the tutorial, very helpful.

I've rewatched this again, from months back, and learnt loads, I've learnt a lot since, but picked up bad habits it seems from novice enthusiasm, or not fully understood when I watched the first time. I've already thumbed up and Subscribed, If I could I'd do it again. Great advice man. I've added this in a personal logic pro X folder again.
Thanks again, Keeping it simple is the success to mixing House music.

Finally a tutorial on mixing I can actually understand, thanks!!
Awesome breakdown video. I usually pan all of my instruments 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ I knew mixing was a leveling and thing, just did not realize I don’t have to pan everything because of the way you we. 💯👍🏾💪🏾‼️
You are the man :) I totally agree with Steevo X Steveo. i have watched and tried many how to tutorials, and your video is one of the only ones that actually makes sense. thanks so much dude, again you are the man...
Thank you so much this helped a lot!!!! You saved my life

What the others have already said. Excellent video! Everything makes so much more sense now. You have earned another subscriber!
Thanks for this! Keep making videos, this is what I've been searching for.
Micah Hutchins That's great! We're glad we could help. Thanks!
Amazing! Just got Logic and am learning how to make atmospheric instrumental post-rock stuff...lots of synths and pads as well as electric guitar soaked in verb and delay. I pretty much have no experience mixing myself, but this gave me a great place to start! Thanks for the vid.
Really nice and helpful... Thanks!
Wow great video really makes it seem simple
Thanks man this was useful and easy to follow
Great video and great channel! I am binge watching EVERYTHING!! Thanks for posting!
WE REALLY APPRECIATE YOU DUDE
Thanks a lot
Stay Awesome!
Rory @ HPTV
Haha same here man! Just subbed. I studied all this at uni years and years ago in Pro Tools but it's been so long since I've used any of these techniques that I've realised I've forgotten so much of this! Great tuition in these videos - really appreciate it.
Solid overview of the process. You can't go too far wrong if you follow these tricks. Although I typically do a lot of this as I arrange, rather than all at the mixdown stage.
Very helpful and to the point.
So informative, thanks a lot!
Well done you...for such a clear tutorial, thanks!
Thanks very much for this advice. It answers a lot of problems I was having trying to create some of my own stuff.
Brilliant, just found your channel! subscribed! keep up the good work
+Jeremy Ruan No problem, thanks for the subscription and your support, glad I could help!
any new vids coming soon?
One of the best tutorials on youtube.
Great with the headroom that's left! I always tend to have loud outputs on all my tracks at the beginning and much automation so it gets really tricky later to fix all levels for all the tracks and keep an eye on the headroom while mixing. This was highly informative and great!
thanks a lot, i used your technique it makes my song sounds more clearly and comfortable
Quick question: Would this approach to mixing/mastering be the same for Hip-Hop? I hope so because you explain everything so clearly and concisely and I wanna continue watching this tutorial!
Hey ThePickledOnion
ABSOLUTEY!
Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it!

Absolutely brilliant tutorial man. Explained clearly and beautifully. I'm more of a rock n roller but I loved your track you were mixing and I shall deffo use your tips and techniques on my stuff. Cheers!
I learned more more thank u man 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
thanks a lot!!! so nice reverb
Brilliant tutorial!
awesome video thanks for this!
thanks, it actually let me through so i could download it.
nice tutorial!! understandable and straight to the point!!
Very good tutorial class I don't know anything about mixing but you have inspired me to have a go. thanks
As long as you have the basics down you will go from strength to strength - Pretty much all the principles are the same from track to track. You will begin to experiment the more you nail the foundations of mixing!
Stay Awesome,
Rory @ Hyper Production

very well done! As others have said, you do a great job, plus you move quickly and don't waste time. thanks!
Really great man, really learned a lot from this. would you need to to mix your music as much as you would if you were creating lets say indie rock music? Thanks
Thanks for the info, well done!
thank you for this video it was really helpful i enjoyed the sample delay edits you did
mind blown that was amazing my mix is sounding very clean thanks a lot
I’m going to start lowering my levels for mastering purposes. Thank you!!
Ditti Max below. Brilliant demonstration.Thank you.
I learned a lot from this video, awesome job man!
Very helpful. Thanks a lot.
Iv only watched 5 mins of this vid and subbed and liked awsome tuition thanks 😁👍🏼
Loved it mate! Subscribed!!
Quick question tho. I noticed you left the click on when you where mixing the kick. Would you advice turning that off when you're just starting out? I thought it was part of the kick frequency until I watched it through again.
Thanks for your feedback in advance.
Very informative, great tutorial.
GREAT CONTENT! I have watched several of your videos already, and you have such a great style of teaching, and obviously a excellent knowledge base.
I have one question. I grew up in the 60's-70's listening to classic rock and other music done before major compression became popular. My question is, although I can see/hear the benefit in terms gluing and other such capabilities; why is it that most of the tutorials and professionals seek to so actively compress inherently dynamic music to maintain levels and avoid things like dynamic drops (e.g. like you mention at around 10 min in)? It is probably that I grew up listening to much less compressed music, but I often like it a lot better when there is more dynamic range, than post-compression.
learned so much thanks
beautifully done
thank you this help me soo much your explanation is real good
this video is so helpful thank you very much, wish it was done on presonus studio one but I will learn a lot from this I'm sure
The Thunderous 1 The great thing is, these principles can be applied to any DAW!
Thanks for watching :)
Stay Awesome
Rory @ Hyper Production
Absolute legend thank you so much for this vid, Took me a while but I've learned so much and been working on a track for a bit now, hopefully when I'm done it will sound as nice as your intro track. love your work keep it up
Nice mate. Appreciate it
thanks! i'm not up to that skill level yet, but you really expanded my understanding of sound texture
