Thanks so much from limerick ireland Just fixed my mother's multi mix that she bought when I was a baby-im 38 years old now! Those old machines were well made!
Thanks a lot, Karl for this video. The way you showed how to open it saved me from having to throw a device away as broken. Thanks to you, I could repair it - not kidding - in 3 minutes! Good for the pocket, but even more so: good for the environment and our beloved Earth!
Great video. My wife bought a new one but I decided to rescue the old and now after watching you video could repair it. Thank you so much! the only thing is that at point 8:30 the video blackened.
Thank you, I have to change the brushes on my engine. It has little force and the noise indicates that they must already be worn out. I had already removed the cap and saw the screw, but after removing it, I could not see where to continue. Thanks for the hard work of making this video. It is from sharing that we can all help each other. Thank you.
You are a life saver! Thanks alot. My wive mixed a dough which 'clibed up' the whisks and inside the body of the multimix. Don't ask me why she did not stop... Anyway, it had to be cleaned from inside afterwards and your tutorial helped ALOT doing so.
Dude! Thanks so much for uploading this. I used it tonight in Melbourne Australia to fix that exact problem. It is now working perfectly. Couldn't have done it without you, great job!
Most helpful in getting this damned thing open!! Thank you. Mine is 220 Watt version and had something loose rattling around inside. Now it's open I see they are 2 slightly curved plastic pieces 2.5cm long. Eventually I discovered where these are the return springs for the button that you press to remove the 2 whisk/mixer blades. They are a very poor design and guaranteed to snap off!. They are at the bottom of the big plastic moulding that continues under the release button. I can't imagine how Bosch ever thought these would last 5 operations, awful design. However, I think the return of the button after pushing out the whisk blades is only cosmetic, and it should work fine without these, in fact mine has been working without them, the big problem is that I found one of the broken pieces inside the gearbox all ready to mangle the gears at some point in the future, so glad I found them 2 snap catches broke off during prising the cover open, at the motor end of the cover, but I think it will be ok without these as the single fixing screw should hold it together well enough. The cover is fixed by 5 snap catches. 2 at the motor end (the ones that broke off on mine), 1 on the bottom (spindle) side (just under where the model number is), and 2 on the top handle. These 2 are on 58mm centres, centred on the flat part of the handle between the cord and the switch. I advise prising open the 3 either side of the handle first, then very gently the 2 either side of the fixing screw. Finally, the video seems corrupted after 8:27 - it goes all black to the end.
I have a braun hand mixer that I was very fond of and was going to throw it out but was able to repair it after watching this video....thanks so much!! 🤗👍
Thanks a lot! Useful for opening it up without breaking anything further. Surprisingly my sister's one had two cogwheels molten together, completely impairing any movement. She'll still have to buy a new one I think, but for now it gets us through new year under lockdown at least 😀
Yes me too, opening is the biggeste challange. If you dont know how you break it beyond repair. For mine it was just to bend the contacts in the multiswitch a bit down and not it looking for another 10 years of use :-)
Thank you for posting this video. I had the same problem and I didn't know how to open the device without damaging. You solved my questions! Perfect idea!
Thanks a lot. It works exaclty as you explane. I managed to close all parts again, and works. The engine was loosy, so it needed to fix the metallic connection to the engine.
thanks so much! I succeeded in opening and reparing my multimix. My problem was the element that covers the docking for the additional tools and is managed by a steel feather inside. If this part doesnt cover perfectly the docking, the motor will not run.
Thank you so much for posting this video! I have the 350 version which was heavily clogged up with dry pastry mix (result of a friend's over enthusiastic use of it , although the cakes were great! :-) At each use as a consequence nasty bits of dried up stuff was falling out of the machine! I used plastic bags and cling film to hold the stuff away but it was not a happy state of things, to say the least, to an extent that I was planning to buy a new machine altogether! However, thanks to your clear process in the video, I managed to open the machine up, clear out all the debris, put it all back together and it works as new! THANK YOU!
Haha, have exactly the same problem now. Tasty cake but clogged up mixer! Then I gave it a try to look for instructions on the internet and Bob is your uncle!!
Thank you. very helpfull. By the way - you can find your spare parts the strangest places: The flat sleeve connector used for the power cord in this machine did I finbd in the box with my electric train (Märklin spare part nr. 74995) Once again thanks Henrik Birch
Great video, Karl. But in my case a gear wheel was broken...so no solution. Had to buy new one. To save some cents in production the power cable is ~40 cm shorter, compared to the old one which is a mess. Do you have a tip or a guide on how to open the current one to fix this issue?
I have bought this mixer but have done a mistake 🤦♀️ i put the hexagon shaped whisk in the circle ⭕️ shaped whisk and have got stuck my whisk.it’s not coming out now 😭 can you guide me plz what to do now
hey Karl, please need ur help on this. i have a little spring that came out of my machine when i opened it. the machine works great but i could not grind a lot of peper at on time. the motor did not give the exact power to do its work what to do. with ur video i tried to open the machine to see if i can repair it myself. but i really do not know where this spring suppose to goe, i will try to put a picture of this spring. please help.

Thank you for showing the dissasembly on this mixer. After watching your movie, it was a 5 minute job, and a happy wife.
Thanks so much from limerick ireland

Thanks to this 12 year old video I was able to open my machine for cleaning and maintenance, I would have never figured how to open it without this
so greatful, mine going strong for over 20 yrs now, and thanks to you even more
Thanks Karl. Just repaired my 25 year old hand mixer without breaking the tabs!
Thank you Karl. With the help of your video I could open the Multimix without causing any damage.
Dude! Thanks so much for uploading this. I used it tonight in Melbourne Australia to fix that exact problem. It is now working perfectly. Couldn't have done it without you, great job!
Thanks for sharing! Now knowing how to open the case, I was able to fix our old faithful mixer, too!
Thanks, I had a similar problem, the cable was hopelessly twisted and the insulation started to break. Your video helped a lot.

Tack KG för den detaljerade instruktionen. Utan den hade jag inte velat ta itu med reparationen.

Sending some love your way for this. Successful disassembly without damaging it!
I am really not good at all in repairing things but thanks to you I managed to bring it back to life without braking anything - thanks a lot!
Thanks a lot! Useful for opening it up without breaking anything further.

Thanks to your video, I was able to fix my mixer after dropping it on the floor. Thanks a lot!

Thanks Karl, I had no clue how to open my multimix.. Fixed a problem just now!! Thanks again

Well. Nothing lasts forever. Neiter did my Braun mixer.

Hello, thank you very much it was a great help for me
Great help. Thank you very much.
Good job, i used it today!
Thanks! You made my day ...
The small bottom piece is a replacement on the cheapest model. On the more expensive it covers a hole for the mixer. You open these in the same way.
From 8:24 video black on and off.

FYI everyone with broken gears, there are spare gear sets available for these, the gears are easy to swap and the kit is not expensive.
I have bought this mixer but have done a mistake 🤦♀️ i put the hexagon shaped whisk in the circle ⭕️ shaped whisk and have got stuck my whisk.it’s not coming out now 😭 can you guide me plz what to do now
thank you from austria :)
