It's almost a year (June 16th) when I lost my 14 year old Cocker. I got my Springer, Spud, at the end of August 2020. Nothing will ever make me forget my old dog Stella, but Spud has brought joy into my life although the first year has been a bit rough. He has a mind of his own. Watching this video, I can only think, dogs don't live long enough. Taking old Stella to the vet was the saddest thing I have ever done in my entire life. Spud, is already a year old now. He was actually born on the same day Stella died. They grow so fast and time passes so quickly. Enjoy every moment with your best friend. They are very special gifts to us. Thanks for this video.
Cooper is 6 now and it pains me to think that it has already been 6 years. In December his little sister passed away due to an unexpected health issue. When you get a dog you know one day you will have to deal with that pain but it still does not make it easy, and losing our little Remi girl unexpectedly crushed us and Cooper but the joy they bring to our lives and memories we have make it all worth it. Give Spud some love for me!
How in the World can ANYONE give this video a thumbs down? What a sweet boy Cooper is, and what a wonderful way to memorialize his first year. I hope the 2 years since this video was posted have been healthy for him, and his family.
@@tack4949 Maybe they disliked it because the song and pictures gave too much of a sad feeling like it was a video where Cooper passed away. I remember when I watched the final episode of the sitcom Get A Life!, which starred Chris Elliot, and that's the same song they played at the end of it.
I miss my best bud, a black and white Springer, so much to this day, even if it has been 16 years. Ranger, you were my best pal grown up. I hope where you are there are unlimited squirrels to chase, warm decks to lay in the sun, and a raging fire for you to sleep next to when you've tired yourself out. You deserve no less!
Sitting next to my springer/cocker mix also named Cooper now! He also loves cuddling on the couch and being the little spoon! And has quite the personality too
They are real characters. A little crazy when they're younger, once you establish who's the boss they will be at your side forever. We lost our springer recently and I wouldn't trade the years he was with us for anything. So lovable and great with kids. They give much more love than they take.
This video made me emotional. It reminded me of our lab that died due to spleen cancer. He died 8 years ago but I still miss him. Cooper is beautiful. Springer spaniels Boykin spaniels and labs are the best dogs in the world.
One of our two springers is named Cooper! He is now 9 years old, but still energetic. Springers are the best, the only dog I have ever had, going back to 1976. We love them so much we now have two!
Oh my goodness - nothing like a Springer Spaniel! I wish I could let my boy Farley loose in the water here, but it's Florida, and gators are always about. He does love the Gulf when we can get there though. Beautiful dog, Cooper!
I watched this again with tears in my eyes. Our springer spaniel, Cooper, passed last week after being diagnosed with canine lymphoma about 10 weeks ago. I loved that dog so much. Cherish every moment with those you love, and always let them know. Cooper was 10 1/2 years old, and was a very healthy, happy dog. I miss him so much it hurts. We will get another springer at some point, and we still have our younger springer, KC. But there was only one Cooper.
I just lost my Springer after 15 years and I feel yea. We did everything together and I included him in every one of my youtube videos. This was my first dog and the pain of losing him is miserable. I feel the same as you. I can get another dog but there was only one Ratchet. Be strong and im sorry to hear about your loss.

He did the same thing and would hide balls under things and loved the water. I sure do miss him. Hope all is good with Cooper and you are enjoying his company.
I feel your pain! I lost my beloved boy Buster last April and still she'd tears for him. There is never a day goes by but I search local rescue centres to see if they got a boy/girl that match up to the boy I lost! God will grant me the One in his own good time!

I had a beautiful black and white English Springer Spaniel for 13 years, that dog was sweet! A little moody in his senior years but was always a joy to have around. I miss him sometimes. A lab entered the picture a while ago, very friendly, lovable chap but not the same. Both are very friendly breeds and labs are "huggable" dogs but labs "adopt" the pack (family). Springers adapt to the human family as individuals, you could say they lick, bark and beg in tune with a particular member of the family. Our lab tells you what he wants by eyesight, don't know how he does it but you need to be tuned to him to know. The Springer "taught" us signs: if he pushed his water bowl towards you he wanted water, if he scratched his plate he was hungry and if he needed to go out or wanted to get back in he scratched the door. They say Labs are smarter than Springers but I don't agree. Our ESP was a very intelligent dog up to his senior years. You could say he had British "wit". The Lab learns very quickly but what made the Springer stand out is he was more proactive: push with his paw like a hockey puck the water plate, for example, to get a drink, and he learned to do this on his own.
Said a final farewell to my beautiful boy Buster recently. He was a rescue dog but in reality it was he that rescued me from depression and anxiety and a life of dependency on prescription drugs. I miss him terribly but treasure every fond memory of him as I am sure you will do with your adorable Cooper.
I have had the p!easure of having 3 Springers. They are wonderful dogs and will always make you smile. Can't wait to have a 4th one. Mine would put their toys under the love seat and bark at it too 1! Enjoy your Cooper.
I have now seen this video 5 times. It always brings a smile to my face and warms my heart. I have a 7 month old black and white springer. His name is Angel and he has changed my life for the better. We hike at the county park 6 to 8 miles a day. Looking forward to taking him on his first camping trip. Many thanks for the incredibly wonderful video.
7 years later… what a wonderful video. Cooper is positively adorable. We had a Springer about 25 years ago. She was my soul pupper and Cooper reminds me so much of her, both in looks and behavior, that it made me start crying. I will never get over the loss of my precious girl. I had three springers from 1981 Rossie, Max and Dougal Dougal sadly passed away after only a few days of being ill aged 13 of tumours that leaked around his heart and stomack He was fine I have found a puppy 4 weeks old and am waiting for another fiur weeks before I can colect him. Springers are just so intelligent and make great addition to the family everythime one passed away we said we would not have another but the temptation outweighs that so looking forward to a new companion but also remembering the fun I had wth the others - He will be My fourth those four weeks I have to wait so I am rebuilding a mountain bike that someone gave Me to keep occupied I think I can wait must be patient 😂😂😂
Springers are the best! We have a 9 month old girl, Maggie, and our getting her half brother (Murphy) in a few days. We're in our late 50's and I predict these two will keep us busy and crazy! Your boy is so handsome too!
I love the "what a wonderful world' soundtrack, very appropriate for your puppy video. A puppy really does think it's a wonderful world out there, so much to explore, the flowers, the trees, the grass... I love how most dogs will often keep their childlike innocence for the rest of their life, unlike people:(. We have to worry about relationships, jobs, bills, etc. Dogs never have a bad day, except when taking a trip to the Vet. Haha.

My uncle has a spanish springer mix. A little smaller than springer spanish, like a cocker size. Her name is Cora (from "Corazón", that means "Sweetheart" in spanish). She is as beautiful as Cooper
Springers are the cutest and goofiest dogs there are, and everything that involves running has that “springy” leap and the bouncy ears and cheeks lol. Funnest dog I have ever had and at 8 yrs still a puppy.

Makes me miss my Floyd, I lost him in Oct 2022. He was a Valentine baby and just turned 10 last year. I miss him so much!!!

Its amazing the bond we form with them! And Cooper sure loves chasing squirrels too. He said he'll chase one in Rangers honor today!
They are the best. I have had 4. My girl now is 13. At 71 I don’t think I have the energy for another but my love for this breed is immense.
