Nice video, I like the guitar; however, I have to say that I tried the new Yamaha system which it's installed inside the guitar under the bridge, and to me it sounds a lot better than any other guitar I have tried. I am the former bass player from "Strunz and Farah" and I know they also had issues with their pick-ups while touring. Being an acoustic bass and guitar player, I have been searching for a good loud acoustic sound since I was 14 (58 now). I have an old Takamine which I added an LR Baggs pick-up, (the cheap braided one under the saddle) and the sound is good, still sounds fake, but with very good frequency response, but I always had trouble with uneven string sound. I usually fix it by adding pieces of cardboard under the saddle to compensate. I got tired of this and went on a search for a new affordable guitar, and almost every guitar I tried with a piezo pick-up had that same problem. The Yamaha system contacts the wood, not the saddle, I am not saying that the Yamaha is perfect, but in my opinion, it is the best I have heard so far.
Lord! You are phenomenal!! I wish I could play like that and you instead had permanent blisters on all ten digits. Not really. My hat's off to you. I'm looking around for a TSF48C Santa Fe Nex . I like the CT technology. Sure can tell the difference, can't you? I agree with Olaf, one of the best demos I've heard.
One of the best guitar demonstration I have seen so far. Perfect, thanks for sharing! What do you think for playing in a band - would you prefer the cedar version TC132C or this one? Would the cedar cause some problems for blues and fingerpicking? Thank you in advance for answering.
Honestly if you're plugged in, the type of wood is not going to make a difference. The Cedartop is going off for a warmer richer sound, the Sprucetop is definitely going to be louder and more punchy
Hi Guitarlancer!!!!!! Do you think between Takamine TC135 SC and Takamine TH5C, which is better? About sound, wood quality on top and side...ect....... TC135SC: Top is Spruce and TH5C: Top is Cedar.......Because I see price of Takamine TC135 SC is more expensive than Takamine TH5C a little bit, about 200 USD! I want to have a Classic Takamine but I am considering between Takamine TC135 SC and Takamine TH5C! Which one is better than? Thank so much! Can you give me advice which Takamine I should buy? TC135SC or TH5C
Señor you are a Maestro. Thanks for the video . Does Takamine have any other nylon strings with a smaller neck. Some people call tem "hybrids". I would like to g et one . Have a wonderful time.
Hi Lance! I'm from Brazil, and I will be releasing my first CD in November. I'm looking for a good nylon string guitar for stage and studio. The TC 135 SC looks awesome! Loved the cutaway design, it is different from most of the others cutaways that I've seen. And I get that it's a great guitar for stage. But do you reccomend this for studio too? Or do you think I could find another model? If you could give me some tips about other guitars as good as the TC 135 SC, I'd be extremely grateful. P.S.: I don't like thin nylon guitars like godin, I prefer guitars with a good body, for studio, etc.. Congratulations for your quality, it's very inspiring for me. Cheers, Bruno!
Thanks Bruno for watching. Iove this guitar esp with the crossover style that it is. Meaning it's not a traditional classical style guitar, but more for flamenco, and Brazilian jazz style music. I like it unplugged as much as plugged up. When recording in the studio I always use mics on acoustic instruments and this sounds really great.
Hey Lance i own this guitar, too. It´s a really good guitar as you said :) ... Which strings do you prefer ? I guess you use high tension carbon strings right ? Which one are you using ? Thanks for your excellent Demo. It was really helpful for my decision.
+Okitabasuma Hey! can you tell me is it possible to bend on such a guitar? of course its not like in the acoustic.. but maybey you still can bend a little..
Neck profile is it classical U-shape or more like electric guitar C-shape ? I have Yamaha APX6NA nylon string it has little too thin C-shape neck. other measures are same like 47mm nut.

The TC132 is a bigger bodied guitar with a solid cedar top, TC135 is spruce. Also TC135 has 24 frets. It's more of a flamenco style guitar I suppose.

The local music dealer ordered a TC135 and instead a TC132 was shipped by accident. They are going to get the TC135 in a few weeks.

the EG series will certainly be less money. But the TC135 has all solid woods and those typically sound better. .More money.

I'm impressed by your skill Lance, but I want to know what nylon is in your closet? I don't have money to waste dude.
I have an old Garcia but was my dads. You can get an affordable Tak.
Too twangy for me. TH5C is more my jam.
Martin Sage honestly. This was a poor recording...
