He honestly shouldnt be allowed to compete. His arm was straight. The only way you pin that is literally by lifing his WHOLE body weight which is impossible. Straight arm should equal a pin.

I'd like to see if Saginashvili could do anything against this latest iteration of Todd's King's Move. Chaffee wasn't hungry enough in my opinion; contrast his effort with that of Cadorette's and Larratt's, they could barely stand after a couple of rounds they were so committed to pinning Todd's arm.

Another Todd match and another under the table fiasco! WAL refs really suck! 2nd match Todd’s arm was completely straight, basically sitting on the floor!!! They called the 2nd match between Kras and Marcio a pin when Kras hand was about 3 inches from the pad but they don’t call the 2nd match between Dave and Todd a pin?!? Really! I guess I just have to accept that Todd will continue live under the table and never actually stand up and arm wrestle!!! DISGRACE to the sport!!!

He uses that angle bc he knows his arm can’t be straightened 100% and he can use all his body weight on top of that to tire his opponent out making it almost impossible to be pinned! I agree. Low character and an envious child. UTT Todd doesn't mind disgracing and shaming himself to win. It's despicable. I've been around people like Todd and they are sick people. Todd had surgery on his elbow that gives him an unfair advantage and the refs let Todd get away with cheating. Even Devon shook his head at UTT Todd when Todd was crying and whining about not winning the Hammer trophy. The refs finally just gave the Hammer to Todd but Todd did NOT deserve it at all! He's pathetic!! I really hope Under The Table Todd is forced to play by the real armwrestling rules during matches. Then you won't see that cheater anywhere near the TOP ten armwrestlers.

Then I found some Devon Larratt vids, his work with Jujimufu, then Pound for Pound....and suddenly I'm darn near a new hard core arm wrestling fan! Then I saw Michael Todd for the first time, winning the Hammer from Devon, and I was like..."WTH is that??" But in all fairness I found the Monster and Mrs Monster channel and developed a real respect for Michael as a competitor and human being. He's within the rules, so i don't fault him. But that King's Move has very literally caused a 50% drop in my interest at this point. It's like the ref observe one set of rules for guys who arm wrestle "traditional" style (a la John Brzenk), then an entirely different set of rules for the King's Move. Todd can drop below the table, lay his tricep very literally on top of the pad, and just let his "wonky" elbow prevent the pin. Just not entertaining. Again, I don't fault Michael Todd. He's doing what ALL champions do: finding a way to win [within the rules].

I actually went to the Bottom 8 in Kingston. It was amazing. Then i went back and watched the match where Todd Beat Devon... I lost a bunch of motivation to keep watching.

I don't understand why they would allow a technique that bears almost ZERO resemblance to traditional arm-wrestling - as most of us know it - and very clearly hurts the sport! I've yet to hear anyone explain what it brings to arm-wrestling, from either a competitor or spectator perspective. If something looks out of place, doesn't offer tangible benefits, and discourages growth of the sport...why have it? Ok. I've beat this dead horse plenty...I'm done, lol
@@jakemitchell1671 Devon Larratt actually defends the move in one of his videos. I can't remember if it made me feel better or not about the move itself. It just doesn't feel or look right. We won't be the first or last ones to beat that horse! Every video i've seen with Todd in it has plenty of negative comments about using the kings move!
Alright, round two, Chaffee and Todd, Chaffee made Todd fully lockout his arm and he still didn't get the pin. The only way he can get a pin is if he snaps Todd's elbow joint. That round shows exactly why the king's move shouldn't be allowed.
Yep that's why he had to go a little higher in Todd's hand, just one more adjustment and then should press.
Devon, Trubin, Pushkar, Denis all found a way through Todd's Kings move, Dave just couldnt do it, he was close but not quite right and that was all the difference.

Kings move is fine as long as ur elbow is only thing on the pad. But todd puts his whole tricep on the pad. He should be disqualified or its a foul.

The Kings Move is a losing move if the counter is played as good as Todd plays the Kings Move. There is just no excuse why opponents are continuing to use brute force when armwrestling against Todd. Opponents could use the Kings Move too, but more importantly, why are they not using any one of three counters??? Devon Larratt said it best when he did not complain and when he gave Todd credit for the victory. Rather than work a Kings Move counter, Devon believed he could still win over Todd's Kings Move but failed to do it two more times. I had to pull my hate for Todd when I realized that players were not properly prepared against Todd. There is just no excuse for opponents not being prepared against Todd's King Move.

Not just tricep, but forearm too. He's breaking rules left and right. Let's not forget something that's still legal, but in my opinion is unfair and should be banned. Todd likes to turn his arm to the outside to the point where it's almost parallel with the long side of the table. At this position the opponent is forced either off the pad if he want's to keep his top position or he must give up his wrist just so he can keep pressing.

Todd's king's move actually looks improved now. He was taking Dave's hand surprisingly easy and he was aware of what Dave was doing trying to counter his king's move and took steps to prevent it.

Kind of hard to take armwrestling as a serious sport at the moment, What with the blatent steriod using guys being allowed to compete against clean fighters and dirty techniques like that used by Michael Todd being considered acceptable. Seems very unfortunate for the majority of armwrestlers that just want a genuwine test of strength.
Michael Todd is a disgrace. He just lays his tricep on the pad and hangs off the table making the press mechanically impossible.

the problem is it is literally abusing the King's Move and breaking the rules. The motion/strategy itself isn't the problem, it's that the refs don't call him on how low he gets and where his tricep/upper arm regularly touch the pad

The King's Move Todd uses today is technically different to the one he employed in the past. Todd has said so himself, he's made adjustments so that climbing his hand and using a press won't work like they did in the past. I'm not sure anyone can beat him right now, though I'd love to see Saginashvili give it a shot.

ARM WRESTLING RULE OF PARALLEL PIN: In a losing position if the arm(lower or upper) is parallel to the table it is a pin. So if you are in a kings move and your upper arm is parallel to the table in a losing position(hand 2/3rds or more past center towards pin pad) that should be called a pin- The only people who can prevent a pin to the pad in this position are people who have arms that cannot straighten. Muscle strength is not preventing a pin to the pad in this arm parallel position. Arm parallel pin is in the rules is not? Anyone who agrees the parallel pin rule should be called on a king's move in a losing position when the upper arm is parallel to the table help spread this idea, and give a thumbs up to anyone who spreads this idea in the comments for more exposure!

Shinrion Ah match #2 he f*ucked up. He should have gone higher before pressing. Match #3 he couldn’t even climb. Watch Matt Mask face Devon, Matt always chooses to conserve his energy when in a bad position. Dave’s side pressure is going to gas before Todds pronation. Also Todd was climbing at the same pace as Dave most of the time. I wanted to see Dave win but I knew he didn’t have the endurance.

If there gonna do instant replay, then the camera should be exactly level with the pin pad. It's slightly above it which makes it harder to tell with close pins.
