I spent the entire summer there in 1971 at the age of 13. The song of the year was maggie by rod Stewart which was played at a time when they had speakers everywhere.
I was 10 years old in71 and my parents had a cottage on the beach every summer for probably 10 years what a great place to be when you were young and then as you got older you got to hit all the clubs, what great memories
@@edzachary8657 I was 6 in ‘71 and we rented the same cottage in Salisbury on the beach for about 10 years too. I even remember the cottage name - Beverly Ann’s cottage. It was right next door to a little store that sold snacks, sodas, beach balls, kites etc. and right near the center.
I spent the summer of ‘71 there at 10 years old and went with my cousin to date night and she got to ride all Shaheens Fun Park for free..the best years all the way up to this year where I take my family still to vacation every year.. my 2nd home 🌊 🏖

That's great! I shot this in 1971 when I attended Phillips Academy summer school filmmaking and photography classes.
I worked there one summer (on a student visa from the UK). Wonderful memories from approx 1999. Bryan and Garry were our bosses.

I love that roller coaster I love the new one too but the old one was more scary because it rattled
What new one? Lay off the meth before posting cupcake. There has not been amusement park (rides) at Salisbury in over 30 years.

America used to be a fun place.
