What does this have to do with Miles Davis? Genuinely wondering not trying to knock
@@jackmace6531 similarity of style, Jack. In particular, his phrasing, the spacing of notes and the overall approach in my view pay a lot of homage to Miles's playing from the 1970s onwards. Of course, Scott is a superlative musician with his own voice, but I can't believe he can have heard Miles and not have been influenced; the general approach and attack show a clear identification.
@@stephenclues2948 style might be the same trumpet wise, but you’re forgetting this whole performance is basically led by the piano. As opposed to bill evans giving the piano as backup

Love Miles Davis one of my favorite trumpet players age wise miles doesn't compete with this guy blowing at home this guy is very brilliant young trumpet player remind me more to Lee Morgan however this cat is just out now bad. And I've been waiting for someone like him to come along cuz ain't nobody never said nothing to me on trumpet since the late Woody Shaw and may He rest in peace bless you Christian Scott
